Fun Palaces

Wanted: Creative, technical, arty, scientific people to join in with us and share their skills and show how things work. And have fun! Garstang Library will be hosting a Fun Palace on Sat 1st Oct and we are looking for groups and individuals from our community to get involved. Fun Palaces is an annual weekend of events, where arts, crafts, science, tech and digital are a catalyst for community engagement and full participation for everyone, from the grassroots up. Fun Palaces are made by local people for their own communities and are free and fun. Please get in touch with us using the details below if you are interested in getting involved.

SCART Club

There is still plenty of time to complete your Reading and Planet Champion tasks as ‘Planet Savers’ ends on Sat 1st Oct. There will be activities to help children to earn their badges every Saturday along with Lego Club and board games 10:00am - 12 noon. No need to book, just drop in.

Fun Arts for Adults

Join this dementia-friendly session delivered in partnership with Wyre Council. Every Thursday 9:30am - 11:30am. Free to attend (Please bring something to protect your clothing from any paint splashes e.g. an old shirt).

Knit & Natter

Tues 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Bring your knitting or other craft for an informal gathering of likeminded people. Beginner’s welcome.

Get Online at Your Library

Tues and Thurs 10:00am - 11:00am. Learn the basic digital skills which will enable you to keep in touch with family and friends, shop safely online, take up a new hobby, find work, save time and money, find information about your health and much more. We provide bitesize courses and one to one help. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, it doesn’t matter if you’ve never used a computer, we can help you! Booking required.
