THE LIFTTM PROGRAM Our mission at HHPLIFT is to forge economic independence through workforce and business opportunities for people overcoming barriers to fair wage employment.

Our LIFT™ Program (formerly the 1eleven® program) provides a direct and local impact on people historically sidelined from opportunity with the majority living in disinvested and overlooked communities in the Chicago area.

We are an employment partner of five elite workforce programs, most notably Cara and READI Chicago. We onboard our full-time, part-time, and affiliate associates to the LIFT™ Workshop where they actively participate and train in multiple facets of our business. They produce our LIFT™ brand of bath, spa, and personal care products and finish and assemble our ecoLIFT™ brand of home, office, and personal accessories, all while learning about research and development, production, safety procedures, quality control, and professionalism. Secondly, they gain experience in our Warehouse Center where they learn about and execute customer and 3rd party order fulfillment, packing, inventory management, and kitting & assembly.

As we learn our program associates’ specific talents, we expand their responsibilities & opportunities, ensuring that they gain a wellrounded, translatable education across departments. From day one, we offer mentorship and career coaching, on the job leadership training, stress-management & personal development techniques, access to educational opportunities, healthy food, and more.

At HHPLIFT, we believe that jobs alone are not enough to break the cycle of poverty for an at-risk workforce that includes those most at risk for gun violence, people experiencing housing instability, single at-risk young mothers, people re-entering society, those with developmental and physical challenges.

The success of our program demonstrates how opportunity, career counseling, and professional guidance can support the transformation of talented people just needing an opportunity to shine.

We were honored to have our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion recognized as the 2021 recipient of the Diversity Advocate Award, presented to us at NY NOW, the country’s prestigious gift market and curator of innovative brands from around the world.

These beautiful bags and accessories fuse together fashion, playfulness, and social consciousness.

They are handmade in Cambodia from industrial net and other unique materials.

At Smateria, their passions go beyond creating unusual designs.

They have a clear mission to employ Cambodian workers in a fair and sustainable way, where employees are treated well and priority is given to the employment of women and mothers.
