Design Style “Zen”  WHY? • Zen refers to meditation, it reflects balance, harmony and relaxation. • Although Zen interior design is not a proper design style and does not come with strict rules, it is often associated with Minimalism, simplicity and purity of lines. • Colour: Zen interior design is all about natural colours. • Fabrics: Selecting fabric relies on the same rules of natural, light and comfortable.

• Lighting: For a fully relaxing space, replace harsh florescent lights with calming, nature-inspired or candle lights. • Furniture: Zen-style furniture is characterized by simple and clear lines, avoiding complicated detail and excess ornamentation.

1. Focus on the FINER aspects of Italian culture: the part steeped in art, family, architecture, spirituality, music and food. Not the predictable mainstream 2. The power of contrast: create a first Impression with an unexpected contrast that will grab people’s attention. An immediate transformation to draw into the experience

3. Simplified dining: choice that is not overwhelming, but simple. Conversations not to be interrupted with the overwhelming nature of menus and wine lists 4. Engaging the senses: Offer an ‘experience’, not just a ‘meal’. Transform something that can be one dimensional into something experiential
