Robin Hood, the eternal legend


It is in May 2010 that finally comes out the eagerly awaited film "Robin Hood" by English Director Ridley Scott (known for films such as "Blade Runner", "Gladiator", "Thelma and Louise" amongst others) and starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. The action of this legend starring a Big-hearted outlaw as central character is set in central England and more precisely around Notthingham. The first mention of the hero in a manuscript dates back 1377 in a poem by William Langland. It will later be followed by many texts and toned down versions. Currently it is possible to follow in his footsteps by visiting the famous Sherwood forest, the church where he supposedly got married (Edwinstowe Village), or prayed (St Mary Church), or met the Sheriff still in charge...
