South henderSon ChurCh of God A Church That Cares
The South Henderson Church of God began with a small group of people having prayer meeting on the front porch of the home of Mrs. Mary Leonard Woodlief. The Rev. W. C. Crowder and Charles Rodgers followed up these meetings with a Tent Revival on the corner of Mason Street and Old Epson Road on the lot owned by Winfred Parrish. When the Tent Revival was over, the service moved to the George and Vangilee Leonard residence on Pine Street. Rev. Austin Hewitt, District Overseer from Wake Forest, preached several Sunday afternoon services. Rev. John L. Stephens, the N.C. State Overseer, preached a sermon and organized the church officially in the Spring of 1937. There were 13 charter members including: Elizabeth Leonard Campbell, Geneva Francis, Victoria Leonard, Shaw Grissom, George Leonard, JS (Sam) Leonard, Lillian Leonard. Vangilee Leonard, Artelia Martin, Sarah Leonard Moorefield, Haywood Stokes, Mollie Stokes and Jacqueline Thomas. The people grew in number and the church was moved to the home of J.S. (Sam) Lillian Leonard on Lehman Street. In 1938, a church was built at the intersection of Skenes Avenue and Old Epson Road. In 1948, a church and parsonage was built at 925 Lehman Street. That site served the church well for some 45 years.

Merry Christmas from Clearview Baptist Church At Clearview our goal is to “Make Christ Visible.” We have seen first-hand what God will do when we spotlight Christ before the watching world. It has been an exciting year in the life of our church. The Lord has blessed us with wonderful facilities and numerous opportunities to build His kingdom. We have seen many people come to know Christ as their Savior and Lord. We have seen families changed and marriages restored. We have seen God’s people using their God-given gifts to minister to those in need. We would love for you to join us this Sunday. You will find that every service is prayerfully designed with Christ-honoring and contemporary music. Every message is based on the Word of God with practical application for our daily lives. Children’s ministry is a top priority at Clearview. You will find a fully staffed nursery and wonderful programs like Awana and Kids Club for kids of all ages. We also have a dynamic youth ministry that challenges our young people to Love God, Love People and then Do Something about it. Moore’s Rest Home of Warren County recently observed it’s 42nd year of operation. The Home was established in 1970 by its current owner and operator Nancy Moore, who along with her very supportive late husband Robert Moore, who passed in 2009, has provided excellent care and service to clients from the surrounding counties of N.C. Currently Moore’s Rest Home is a state of NC “FOUR STAR” Facility, licensed to serve 6 residents. The facility is located at 123 Moore Road in the Inez community. The Moore’s decided to open and operate a facility after completing CNA Training and working at the Old Warrenton General Hospital. Over the past 4 decades the Moore’s and various family members have traveled all over North Carolina to continue to receive State and Federal Mandates to stay in compliance and to give the best possible care to each resident. Mr. and Mrs. Moore had six children, Robert Jr. Willie, Nancy, Bennie, Delores and Almeda. Using as its motto...
“Moore’s Rest Home We Care More Because We Are Moore’s Rest Home”.

“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever ...” 2 Chronicles 5:13
“Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.” Psalm 33:1-3
