We Appreciate You! This month’s newsletter is dedicated to personally thanking our members for their continued support of the community and the Chamber’s commitment to enhancing the county’s quality of life. We want to take this opportunity to thank some of those who have risen this year in direct involvement in Chamber events and activities and help make everything the Chamber does a success. This is by no means a complete list of those who have helped in so many ways.

MESSAGE FROM THE

PRESIDENT Susan B. Anthony is quoted as saying, “Someone struggled for your right to vote. Use it.” This fall, the future of Henry County is on the ballot. I know that sounds extreme. I don’t mean for it to be alarmist. But, let’s consider this an important decision on the future of Henry County’s Joseph B. Henning, IOM CAE quality of life, economic development, and smart President and CEO jhenning@henrycounty.com growth.

Comfortably South of Atlanta The Henry County Chamber of Commerce serves as the voice for the business community, provides quality services and programs that meet the needs of its members, improves the economic environment of the community and creates a legacy of leadership for the future.

Have you ever wanted to be on TV or radio? One of the benefits of membership is the opportunity to do a 1-2 minute interview that will be broadcast on SCB-TV, the local cable channel. This interview provides an outlet to the community that will let them know about your business and how to contact you.

Each of our municipalities has contested council seats on the ballot. Your voice at the polls creates the voice for your city’s future. For more information, read my “Fall Municipal Candidates” blog at henrycounty.com/blog/ myhenrychamber-blog.

Yes to SPLOST

In addition, the county will have a SPLOST request. The Chamber of Commerce supports this request and encourages you to vote in favor of continuing the program. More than half of the projects are transportation focused. All the projects impact our quality of life positively. For information, visit www.ExtendThePenny.com. KENDELL JACKSON 1010 Computers
