CHAMBER NEWS $2.5 MILLION CARES ACT GRANT ROLLOUT FEATURED
The opening of the Henry County CARES Act Grant Restart Program was the subject of the Virtual Business Booster Luncheon held on Thursday, August 20, 2020. Hundreds of Chamber members and Henry County businesses tuned in at the noon lunch hour for the live webinar which broadcast also on Facebook Live.

Henry County staff members, Shannon B. Sagnot, Director of Administrative & Constituent Services and Community Development, and David Smith, Henry County Director of Finance, presented information about the Henry County federal CARES Act (Coronavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) supplemental grant funding allocated to support small businesses.
Familiar with the topic, Chamber president Joseph Henning moderated the discussion about how the County intends to award $2.5 million in grants for job retention and creation. “While the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the global, national, and local economy, Henry County is committed to offering assistance where possible for the small businesses that are the fabric of our communities,” explained Joseph B. Henning, Chamber CEO. An additional $2.5 million will soon be available for non-profits.
