Chronic Hepatitis B Prevalence World Map
Hepatitis B is the leading cause of liver cancer. Around the world, 240,000,000 (240 million) people have chronic hepatitis B. SE Asia & Western PaciďŹ c region are among the areas where rates are high. Worldwide, 680,000 die every year from hepatitis B. In Australia, 213,000 have chronic hepatitis B and about 400 die each year from the disease.
