his is O'liver. O'liver is your liver.
Your liver is next to your stomach on the right side of your body. It is one of the biggest organs inside your body. In a grown-up, O'liver can weigh one and a half kilograms and be as big as a football.

'liver does many important things that keep you fit and strong.
O'liver breaks down the food you eat and turns it into building blocks and energy your body needs to grow and work. O'liver also cleans out the harmful things in your blood called toxins.

'liver stores a special type of sugar called glycogen which gives you a burst of energy.
This helps you run really fast. O'liver is special and works hard to keep you healthy. So what can you do to keep O'liver happy and healthy?

ooking after O’liver is easy.
Exercise by playing games or sport with your friends. Eat healthy foods like fruit and vegetables. Alcohol, some chemicals and some germs like hepatitis A, B and C viruses can harm O’liver very badly. You can get medicine from your doctor to protect O’liver from hepatitis A and B.

ating too many unhealthy foods can make O'liver sick.
A sick O'liver cannot work properly, and that makes you unwell. So take care of O'liver. Eat well and exercise and O'liver will work hard to make you healthy and strong.
