Fun Around the Club

Happy summer, Club members! This month I’d like to highlight some of our upcoming summer social activities.

On the evening of July 22, we will be hosting Caribbean Dreams, featuring Dean St Hilaire on the steel drums and a festive Caribbean menu. Our bar will feature a variety of island drinks. Ready to escape the summer heat? Come join us for the ever-popular BOGO dinner event on August 22. While dining, enjoy the sweet sounds of Jennifer Johnson on classical guitar. This event usually fills up so mark your calendar now and be sure to get your reservation in on our reservation link. https://www.hiltonheadgolf.net/blog/events/bogo/ Another great way to escape the August heat will be with our Wine and Design event on August 26. We have local florist A Floral Affair coming to guide us in making a 20-inch fall wreath for our homes. The event is $45 per person and includes a light salad lunch, dessert, and a glass of wine. Instruction will take place immediately following the lunch and you will leave the club with a beautiful fall wreath ready to hang. Space is limited so If you want to get creative with us, RSVP by August 16 when registration closes. https://www.hiltonheadgolf.net/blog/events/wine-and-design-workshop/ And don’t forget, our Monthly Member Socials continue all summer on the first Thursday evening of each month at 5 PM (July 7 and August 4). What a great way to socialize with your fellow members and all for $10 per person, but you must be sure to RSVP. https://www.hiltonheadgolf.net/blog/events/monthly-member-social-july/ Last but not least are our Net Nine and Dine events on July 14 and August 18. Are you a tennis member who would love to try your hand at nine holes of golf or are you a golf member who would like to play a little tennis? This is your event. Come join us and try your hand at a new sport. After golf or tennis join us in the members dining room for dinner. Everything’s included in the $25 fee…tennis, golf, golf cart, and buffet dinner. The sign up for these events is in our pro shop.

I urge you to take advantage of our monthly events to enjoy your fellow club members and have some fun. If you are not joining in, you are missing out on many of the great benefits of being a member of our Port Royal Golf and Racquet Club.
