September was certainly a great month for Bill Hazel! A Hole in One, part of the winning team in Super Men’s Day, and a major part in the organization of the successful Heritage Invitational. Congratulations, Bill. Bill’s Hole in One came at #12 on Robbers Row flighting a 9 iron with 2 bounces to hole out, and there were plenty of members playing to help Bill celebrate his achievement. 38 members played in the September Super Men’s Day, which was won by the team of Ed Johnson, Steve Johnson, Bill Hazel, and John Dreyer. With 5 net Eagles, the team ran away with an impressive winning score of 64 points, beating the nearest challengers by 11 points.

October promises to be another busy month. • We have the Club Championship (Individual Stroke Play event) at the beginning of the month, where the best gross score over the 36 holes will be crowned Club Champion. • Then in the middle of the month we have the annual Ryder Cup event. For all participants, we will again have a cookout at the Beach House on the eve of Day 1. On that evening, teams and pairings will be presented for Day 1,

Saturday 15 October. Last year we had 55 members playing across the 2 days, so let’s hope we get an equally high, or better turnout. • For those new members, it’s a very sociable, and fun event: Look out for invitations to the event shortly. Notable dates in the coming 2 months: Individual Stroke Play Championship - October 3 (Monday), October 7 (Friday) and October 10 (Monday) Ryder Cup: Saturday October 15, and Wednesday October 19 (also: - Cookout for players on Friday October 14) 2 Man Match Play Championship - Wednesday November 2, Monday November 7, and Friday November 11 Super Men’s Day - Wednesday November 16
