Conservative Theological University www.conservative.edu

Established in 1982, Conservative Theological University is a certified member of the Florida Council of Private Colleges of America. They offer a range of degrees from an associate of arts to a doctorate that all focus on a fundamentally Biblical education. Degree programs can be completed on a part- or full-time basis and on or off campus.

Edward Waters College www.ewc.edu

Established in 1866, Edward Waters College (EWC) is both the first private institution of higher learning and first Historically Black College or University in Florida. EWC offers a Christian curriculum that challenges and engages students to push them toward success. The college offers eight bachelor’s degree programs within five departments: Business Administration, Communications, Criminal Justice, Science and Mathematics and Social and Behavioral Sciences.

First Coast Technical College (FCTC) is great option for those looking for career or technical education options rather than a four-year university or college. FCTC is part of the top-rated St. Johns County School District with two locations in St. Augustine. The college offers a variety of programs, including agriculture, health sciences, hospitality and tourism, human services and law, early childhood education and many more.

Flagler College, once a hotel, has offered an exceptional private education in historic St. Augustine for more than 50 years. The college provides a “challenging, inclusive, and supportive academic community” and is committed to preserving the history of Hotel Ponce de León. There are nearly 70 programs of study within the School of Business, Education and Mathematics, the School of Creative Arts and Letters and the School of Humanities and Science.

Florida Aviation Career Training, Inc. (FACT) is an excellent choice for those who are new to aviation, interested in additional ratings, seasoned pilots or in need of aircraft rental. FACT is home to experienced instructors, one-on-one training to focus on each individual’s needs and aircraft maintained in their own facility. The school provides the knowledge and skills needed to exceed the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards and has above a 90 percent pass rate on FAA practical exams.

Florida Coastal School of Law www.fcsl.edu

Florida Coastal School of Law is a great choice for aspiring lawyers on the First Coast. The school operates on rolling admissions and offers an accelerated two-year program. Well above the national average of 65 percent, 100 percent of Florida Coastal students participate in pro bono legal work prior to graduation. In July 2020, Florida Coastal announced their application to become a nonprofit law school as part of a “strategic plan for growth and a stable future.”

Florida State College at Jacksonville www.fscj.edu

Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) has multiple locations throughout Duval and Nassau Counties and is an excellent choice for higher learning. For over 50 years, FSCJ has worked with students to find the best path for their educational journey. The college offers associate and bachelor’s degrees and technical and non-credit workforce certificates in numerous areas of study. FSCJ’s Deerwood Center also offers a twoyear Associate in Arts degree during the weekend to make completing your degree convenient.

Jacksonville Theological Seminary www.jts.edu

Jacksonville Theological Seminary offers graduate degrees in various religious studies to prepare students for future ministry work and religious vocations. The seminary is a Comprehensive Accredited Member with Honor by Accrediting Commission International, Inc.

Jacksonville University www.ju.edu

Jacksonville University (JU) is a small, private college located along the St. Johns River. It has been named one of “America’s Best Colleges” in the South by U.S. News & World Report for over 10 consecutive years. Trinity Baptist College has provided students with a Christian-based education for more than 40 years. The college focuses on preparing their students for full-time ministry but has expanded in recent years to offer general and professional studies, liberal arts programs and graduate studies. Their partnership with Trinity Baptist Church and Trinity Christian Academy has created opportunities to students for internships and realworld experience.

University of North Florida www.unf.edu

Since 1972, the University of North Florida (UNF) has become a staple among Florida state universities. With a smaller population than many Florida universities, UNF offers small, intimate classroom settings where students receive the best education possible. There are six colleges within the university that offer a multitude of programs, including the Brooks College of Health, the Coggin College of Business, the College of Arts and Science, the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction, the College of Education and Human Services and the Hicks Honors College.

University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences www.usa.edu

The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences offers graduate programs in the College of Rehabilitative Sciences, the College of Health Sciences and Administration and the School of Nursing. The university also has state-of-the-art amenities and technology, as well as a new Ninja Obstacle Course designed by a two-time American Ninja Warrior contestant to promote their dedication to wellness.
