To OurMother With Love
You always made time to listen, you spoke just what I needed to hear; You inspired me to reach higher, to press on, and to persevere. So even those days when I stumbled, you supported me so I wouldn’t fall; With your steadfast faith and courage, you graciously handled it all! I will never stop being grateful, for you’ve blessed me in so many ways; I’ll hold your memory ever so close and cherish it for the rest of my days!
~ Aldoncey~ An angel lived among us, A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness And shared with us her love. She nurtured and encouraged us Her strength was like no other! An angel lived among us, And I was blessed to call her “Mother”.

Life Reflections
Beverly Ann Patterson-Phillips was born to Willie Mae Patterson and Robert Phillips on March 25, 1964, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the second of four children. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended Memphis City Schools and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in 1983. That same year, she began a promising career with Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) where she was known for her hard work and dedication. She started as a Clerk for Central Shops and was promoted to serve as an Energy Conservation Clerk two years later (1985). Climbing the ladder to success, Beverly was later promoted to the position of Clerical Support III in Residential Energy Services, and she remained faithful in that role until her final promotion to Clerical Support IV. Beverly’s infectious charm was larger than life! Her personality and heart of gold were God-given gifts which she freely shared with others. Throughout her lifetime, many lives were touched by her warmth, love and humility. She was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team, and she was passionate about helping others. As much as she loved us all, Beverly answered God’s call to come home and rest on August 31, 2021, at Methodist Germantown Hospital. Though she is absent from the body, her legacy will live on through her children, Felecia Phillips and Aldoncey Phillips; her mother, Willie Mae Patterson; her brother, William Patterson of Tacoma, Washington; her sisters: Kernita Patterson, Teresa Garvins (Tracy), and April Wise; one grandchild, Aaliyah Phillips, and a host of other relatives and friends who will be forever impacted by the love that she imparted.
You are Missed So Very Much! I often sit and think about the years that have passed by And of the happiness and joy that was shared by you and I I think of all the laughter, the smiles, and all the fun And, before I know it, my tears have once again begun For, although it brings me comfort to walk down memory lane, It reminds how, without you, life will never be the same. Your Friend, Teresa West

Acknowledgment
Words can not fully express how grateful we are for the many kind deeds shown during the passing of our loved one. When it seemed as if our loss was too great to bear, we looked up and all of our family and friends were there. A friendly smile, a casual touch, these are things that mean so much. Thank you for your comforting expressions of sympathy and support during our time of bereavement. May the love of God, joy, peace and happiness be upon you today and forever. ~ The Family of Beverly Ann Patterson-Phillips ~
