Obituary
Daisy Mae Woods Allen was born December 14, 1929, in Blytheville, Arkansas to the late Arthur & Effie Mae Isom Woods. At the age of 5, she gave her life to Christ and was baptized at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Ripley, Tennessee. She continued to serve God at the Princeton Avenue Baptist Church as a faithful choir member, and she later united with the Greater Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served proudly as a Church Mother. One of her favorite songs to sing was “This Little Light of Mine”! She LOVED to give God praise and committed herself to showing His love to everyone that she met! As a loved and respected member of the Binghampton community, she was known by many as one of the world’s greatest cooks. Her flair and style for wearing hats was unmatched! In addition to her classy style of dress and her sense of humor, she will be remembered for the way that she loved and cared for her precious granddaughter, Ashley (“Lee Lee”), who was truly the apple of her eye. She was the proud mother of thirteen children; eight of them preceded her in death. She would always say with confidence, “I KNOW I’m going home to glory…” which she did on Friday, September 18, 2020. To cherish her memory, she leaves five children: Daisy Louise Clark (Willis), Charles Lawrence (Dorothy), Johnny Lawrence, Cleaster Lawrence, and Gwenerever Lawrence; three brothers: Charles Woods (Ann), Jake Woods, and Elvin Woods (Ann); four sisters: Rosie Powell, Effie Mae, Pearlie Mae Green, and Sally Mae; eighteen grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A TRIBUTE TO
Mudear - by Louise Clark
Everything God does, He does for a purpose He made the flower; He called it a rose. Everything God does, He does for a reason He made the summer; He called it a season. Everything God does is a wonder to behold, He made Mudear; He gave her a soul Every mold He made has a special task No one knows the answers, so there’s no need to ask Cause everything that God does, He does for the Best Every soul God makes, He also calls home to rest.

Everything TO MY
- by Ashley Lawrence
You’ve always been nice, just like sugar with a lot of spice. I want to thank you for all of your sacrifices, your real love, and the way you cared for me and my kids. I will never forget the smile you gave me when I last saw your face. I was never ready, but I knew this day would come. I will never forget what you taught me. You always kept it real and you were the perfect mix of funny, firm, strict, and sweet. You always told me to look to the sky…and now when I do I know you’ll be there watching me. To me, you will always be…everything!
