Family Tributes MY MOM/MY FRIEND
Well I knew this day would come when I would have to tell my beloved mom to rest on. I’m your first born… your baby boy...Cornelius, your new responsibility. Your new best friend. All my other siblings had to listen and obey because one day I’d have to be the one to show them the way. When you took your last breath, things instantly changed. My best friend was gone and things will never be the same. My mama was one of a kind. She could say and do things that would shock your mind. I can recall hearing that God makes no mistakes. So soar high my mama... my friend. ~ Cornelius ~
WE WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS! Our other mother has gone to take her rest, She treated us the same; no more, no less She loved us unconditionally. Who could ask for more? To see her again is something we will strive for! We were her bonus babies, and she will truly be missed! ~ With Love, LaDarius and Eric ~
DEAR MAMA I wasn’t ready for you to go. I wish the time had moved really slow. It was hard for me to let go of your hand. I guess it was all a part of God’s plan. No more suffering or feeling alone. Now you are at a place that we all call home. You touched me so much and showed me so much love. I’ll celebrate you forever, my queen above! I’m really going to miss your smile, kisses and hugs. I love you so much…my beautiful black queen! ~ Erika & the Boys ~ MY ROCK My mama was built solid as a rock. Mama, I will miss the laughing and joking that you and I did together. Thanks for being a constant “rock” in my life until the very end. ~ Love, Derrick ~ MEMORIES Tender little memories Of some word or deed Will give us strength and courage When we are in need Blessed little memories Will help us bear our cross And soften all of the bitterness Of failure and loss Precious little memories Of little things we’ve done Make the very darkest day A bright and happy one. We will love you always! ~ Your Nephews, Joe and Pie ~

Niecey, I’ll be Seeing You... You are at rest, so I will try not to cry It will get easy as time goes by You’ve done your best to live a good life And I know you’ll be with Christ As your body lies here, it’s only a shell God has called you home and His job is done well.
I know that you are happy and very content For the things you did wrong, I know you repented You are no longer with me; that makes me sad Knowing you’re with God makes me glad. You and I both know that it is hard on earth So you should not cry at death, but at birth You have no worries, pains or fears Because you are with God, so I will dry my tears You loved us and this is what you would want us to do Put God first in our life, for He will see us through. ~ Your Sister, Darlene ~
