Life Reflections
Frank Williams was born to the late Mob Williams and Rosie Lee Harris Williams on August 27, 1948, in Casey, Mississippi as the eldest son of twelve children. He confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and joined the Historic New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Germantown, Tennessee. He attended Neshoba Elementary school in Germantown, Tennessee, and later graduated from Mt. Pisgah High School. As a child, Frank worked with horses at Cook Farm in Germantown, Tennessee. At the young age of fifteen, he began working at Shadowlawn Greenhouse Nursery. Upon discovering his love for caring of flowers and plants, he continued his life-long career here until his health began to decline in 2020. Frank departed from his life’s journey on November 21, 2021, at 2:10 p.m. at Methodist University Hospital – Central in Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Lee Harris Williams and Mob Williams; two sisters: Gennie Ruth Eddins and Gennett Hunt, two brothers: John Williams, Sr. and James Earl Williams. To cherish his amazing legacy, he leaves a son, Marcus Williams; three grandchildren: LeeShaun, Naomie, and Lavinia; five sisters: Alberta Liggins of Houston, Texas, Argenta Applewhite (Gerald), Betty Britton, Gloria Wilson, and Mattie Jones (Greg); two brothers: Walter Williams, Sr. (Doris) and Carl Williams of West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother-in-law, Charlie Hunt; one sister-in-law, Joyce Williams; a devoted niece, Dwana Phillips , who cared for him during his illness; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
