Star Gazer
When I glance at the stars, I will think of you. I will think about your laugh and that smile. I will think about your struggles, accomplishments, and what you were like as a child. When I glance at the stars, I will think of you. I will think about the moments that we had. All of the good and the bad…I will think of you! Your presence was like a present under the Christmas tree. While being content in any space is what you were teaching me. So when I glance at the stars, I will smile. I will laugh until my stomach hurts and cry hysterically. But most of all I will celebrate! I will celebrate because I know in me you live! When I glance at the stars, I will know you aren’t far. Now He lays you down to sleep. I pray the Lord your soul He keeps. Until the day we meet again, I will glance at the stars knowing you’re within. ~ James Anderson, Jr. ~
The Twenty-Third Psalm
“1The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head
5
with oil; my cup runneth over. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”
