Your “Sweet Cakes”, Netta

The loss of you has left a spot deep in my heart that time forgot.

To my Daddy

I’m grateful that God allowed me to experience your wisdom, love, and presence for 37 years.

While I wish that I could have gotten just a little more time with you I know that it was time to take your rest and be free of this world. I’ll miss our outings and talks about any and everything because you weren’t just my daddy you were my best friend too. I’ll even miss your smell and that “old man’s” cologne you wore all the time. There are no words to describe how bad my heart hurts that you left me, but God said to be absent from the body is to be present with God, so I know you are in the best paradise ever. Thank you for being the example of what a just and righteous man is supposed to look like. Thank you for operating in the fruits of the spirit by modeling patience, wisdom, love and kindness. Thank you for choosing to stay consistent as my father and training me up in God’s ways that I hadn’t departed from. Thank you for leaving a legacy that your grandsons, can continue as honorable men. I appreciate that God allowed me to learn through you what being planted like a tree by the rivers of water looks like because every life you impacted prospered good fruit in their respectable seasons. You were appreciated, loved, and necessary and I’m glad that God allowed you to be my daddy. I promise to not let your name die. I love you always and until we meet again.

I miss you more with every day. Sometime we will be back together, I pray. I remember every word, touch and kiss, and it’s those my heart continues to miss. I know you’re watching me from above, ‘cause my heart swells with your love, So my dear, till we meet again, feel my kisses on the wind.

To my Dear Husband with Love Time heals all wounds they say, but I have one that never goes away.

Love Always, Rosie
