Remembering Linda...
Linda Joyce Fifer was born in Coldwater MS, June 13th, 1956 to Mary Lois and the Late Joe Louis Mays. She was the oldest of seven children. She was a member of the Mt. Olive MB Church in Byhalia, MS. To know Linda was to love her. She was a kind and sweet lady who enjoyed making meaningful memories with her family and her grandchildren. As a sharp dresser and connoisseur of fashion, she loved looking good and getting out going places. She lived her life on purpose! She was preceed in death by her father, Joe Louis Mays and two brothers, Joe Lucas Mays and Johnny Larell Mays. To cherish her sweet memory, Linda leaves her two dear sons: Myron Jerome Mays of Horn Lake, Mississippi and Earnest Rico Fifer of Memphis, Tennessee; three sisters: Barbara Lynn Cathey of Longview, Texas, Mary Annice Evans of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and Laretha Dell Mays of Horn Lake, Mississippi; one brother, Robert Louis Mays of Memphis, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Jeremy Newson, Jalen Newson, Myra Mays, Alanis Fifer, and Kai Mays; one great-grandchild, Kel’Ron Jerell Newson; and a host of friends who loved and cared for her deeply.
