History
The Bible is charged with examples of how God recognized the value of youth to the divine cause. In 1999 God once again chose, anointed and appointed a young vessel, when Pastor Willie J. Jamison Jr. accepted his calling into ministry at the tender age of eight years old. Throughout his early years, Pastor Jamison was blessed to take his ministry around the globe and cemented himself as a gospel giant. He would go on to be regarded as one of the nation’s most prolific, young prognosticators. During his young adult years, Pastor Jamison was elected to two previous pastoral positions. However, Pastor Jamison later found a personal testimony in the Ecclesiastical scripture which proclaims that “For everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven.” Recognizing that he had fulfilled his purpose in those appointed seasons, Pastor Jamison knew that it was inevitably time for a change and with it, a new beginning. Being fearlessly committed to fulfilling the vision given to him by God, on Sunday, the 15th of July 2018, Pastor Jamison founded the Love Church of Memphis. The Vision for the Love Church was presented to an eager assembly of supporters at Pyro’s Fire Fresh Pizza restaurant, located at 2035 Union Ave in Memphis, TN. Following the vision meeting, Pastor Jamison extended the right hand of fellowship to thirty founding members. In August of 2018, The Love Church acquired its first brick and mortar location at 3035 Directors Row in Memphis, TN. In its first year of establishment, The Love Church took in upwards of sixty new members. The Love Church was founded with a goal to leverage outreach as the mode of transport, bringing people to life-saving evangelism through Jesus Christ. On a mission to take ministry beyond the four walls, Pastor Jamison and The Love Church continue to spearhead numerous community outreach initiatives through the “Show Me Some Love” outreach ministry. The Love Church of Memphis is proof that when Jesus says “YES” nobody else can say “NO”. And, just as the Phoenix rose from the ashes, so has Pastor Willie Jamison Jr., and the Love Church of Memphis. We have returned from the flame clothed in nothing but strength, more beautiful than ever.
