Funeral Program for Marilyn Clark

As I sit in Heaven and watch you every day, I try to let you know with signs that I never went away. I hear you when you’re laughing and watch you as you sleep; I even place my arms around you to calm you as you weep. I see you wish the days away begging to have me home, so I try to send you signs so you know you are not alone. Heaven is truly beautiful! Just you wait and see. So, live your life! Laugh again! Enjoy yourself! Be free! Then I know with every breath you take, you’ll be taking one for me…

Obituary

Marilyn Ann Beard Clark was born to late George Beard and Virginia Beard on October 20, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee. She departed this life on June 2, 2020. Marilyn accepted Christ at a young age and began her journey at the Thomas Chapel Church. She later united with the Word of Deliverance Christian Center (House of Prayer Ministries) where she continued to serve faithfully until her departure. Marilyn was a 1982 graduate of Raleigh Egypt High School, and she attended Shelby State Community College. On March 25, 1989, she married Mr. Willie Raymond Clark. She was a devoted employee of Regional One Health (formerly The MED) until health would no longer permit her to serve. With a smile that would light up any room, Marilyn was a dedicated mother who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her roles as a grandmother and aunt. She had a vivacious personality and a gift for always making people laugh. Marilyn was a loving and devoted wife and mother who represented the love of Christ in both word and deed. She was preceded in death by her father, George Beard, and one brother, Lorenzo Montgomery. To cherish her sweet memory, she leaves her husband, Willie Raymond Clark; four sons: Raymond Johnson, Sr., Mario Clark (Dominique), Lorenzo Clark and Travis Clark (Lakishia); one daughter, Miranda Clark; her mother, Virginia Beard; seven grandchildren: Mario Clark Jr., Raymond Johnson Jr., Maurian Clark, Logan Clark, Ayden Clark, Ava Clark, and Kaden Parrish; three sisters: Teresa Louise Calhoun of Dallas, TX, Joyce Anita Beard of Memphis, TN and Bettie Brown of Jackson, TN; five brothers: Ellis Walton, James Walton, George Beard Jr., Steven Beard of Memphis, TN and George Edward Montgomery of Bolivar, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will honor her legacy forever.
