I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 7
(II Timothy 4:7-8,KJV)

In Memory of Our Dad
He was the definition of a father... He provided, protected & even blessed us with holy water. He never showed a weakness, and always remained strong. The only time he stayed away was when he stayed on the road too long. But he was always just a call away, because he always had a cell phone! He may have spent a lot of money, because he stayed in the store. And he always told us to buy the best, because it’s just a nickel or dime more. He told us that the responsibility of being a man is something that we can’t get around; And if we fell short, then women would treat us like a clown. So we stayed down and didn’t fold, And just like him, we hope to make it to get old. The love of a father can be often taken for granted. So we’re here to carry on the legacy from the seed that he first planted.
Dear Dad
The day you left and gained your wings Our hearts just broke in two. We wish you could have stayed with us But heaven needed you. You left us with only memories, We love you dearly still. No matter how much time goes by You know we always will. You were a very special person With kindness in your heart And the love we had together Grows stronger now that we’re apart We know we cannot bring you back, Although we wish it every day But a piece of us went with you The day you went away. ~From your Daughters ~

We’ll all miss you very much!
We know you can no longer stay with us, you fought long and hard to be with us. We know you now watch over and protect us. Although we cannot hear your voice or see your smiling face. We know deep down in our hearts that you have not left us.

Your actions were always kind A generous hand and an active mind Anxious to please and loath to offend A loving brother and faithful friend.
Life Reflections Pastor Edward Charles Satterwhite, Sr. was born to Reverend James Satterwhite and Bernice Farmer Satterwhite on December 30, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was the fourth of seven children who were born to this union, and he was known to be a very welcoming and loving individual throughout his life and ministry. He accepted Christ and was baptized at a very young age at the Vollintine Missionary Baptist Church of Memphis, Tennessee. He answered God’s call to serve in ministry and received tutelage from the last Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson. In the last 80’s, Pastor Satterwhite was ordained to the Gospel ministry and he served faithfully in this capacity. His ministry led him to serve as Pastor of Glad Tidings Ministries, where he exemplified the love of Christ with a sincere dedication to saving souls! In the late 90’s, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Biblical Studies from Crichton College in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a mentor and father figure to many as well as a role model and Christian leader. He was a man of prayer and vision who loved God’s people genuinely and served them diligently. In 1971, he graduated from Manassas High School where he enjoyed being a member of the band. He played the trombone fluently and taught himself to play piano. His love for music was a driving force that allowed him to touch and inspire many as he shared his musical gifts in numerous venues. He worked for more than twenty-five years as a truck driver, and he served as a member of the Teamster’s Union. He loved his family and he helped to disciple many who made the decision to follow Christ upon being impacted by his life and ministry. He was a true example of what it meant to bear the burdens of others and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, KJV). He was preceded in death by both of his parents and 8 siblings. To cherish his memory, he leaves five children: Iris Taylor, Kimberly Satterwhite Steele (Augustus), Anthony “Tony” Walker (Nicole), Edward Satterwhite, Jr., and Krystal Satterwhite; four siblings: Rena Satterwhite of Memphis, Tennessee, and Nina Waite, Claudette Haley, and John Campbell (all of Cincinnatti, Ohio); thirteen grandchildren: Kristen, Juna, Gerald, Jordan, Zykeria, Aniyah, Edward Charles III, Kiyah, E’torrien, Kylan, Taneya, Tamia and Imena; three great-grandchildren: Zacaria, Kennedi, and Vincent; and a host of other relatives, ministry colleagues, and dear friends whose lives are enriched and forever changed because of his life and legacy.
