Toquaycia REMEMBERING

Toquaycia Ulleiyah Marshe’ Moss was born September 3, 1996, to Nikki S. James and Leon Gatewood. She was the second of six children, and the oldest girl. With a winning smile and a great personality, she won the hearts of anyone who was blessed to be in her presence. Many would agree that Toquaycia was vibrant and full of life. She accepted Christ at an early age at Sold Out Truth Ministry Church under the leadership of Pastor Carla Edwards. She attended Martin Luther King College Preparatory High School, where she played volleyball basketball, and softball. She was voted Most Valuable Player and graduated in the top 20 of her class. With aspirations to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Toquaycia attended Lane College where she was pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in pursuit of this goal. Throughout her life, there was no doubt about what she loved! Among those things are her siblings, the color purple, braiding hair (which she was VERY good at), Tinkerbell, red hair, and honey gold flats! She was loved by many and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nikki S. James; her grandmother, Arnell Gross; and one uncle, Edwardo Gross. To cherish her memory, Toquaycia leaves her loving and devoted Grandfather, Edward Gross; two sisters: Reneicia and D’Asia James; four brothers: Davion Moss, TraDarreo Gatewood, Javonte’ James, and Darvell Williams; two aunts: LaTisha Warren and Natasha Askew; three uncles: Joseph Green, Eric Gross, and Darvell James (Juankeshia); one nephew, Charvez Akins; one niece, Darreona Gatewood; and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish her sweet legacy forever.

Remembrance I am home in Heaven, dear ones Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty All the pain and grief ’s are over, Every restless losing passed; I am now at peace forever Safely home in Heaven at last.
