Remembering Tylor... “8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.” (Romans 14:8, KJV) Tylor Eugene Finnie was born February 21, 2001 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Ronald Eugene and Shajuana Finnie; he was one of three siblings. “Ty” as he was affectionately called, grew up as a “free spirited” individual as he has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. with his parents and brothers. If you asked him “where were you born?” He’d say, “Pittsburgh”. But if you asked him, “where did you grow up?!” He’d PROUDLY say, with an unknown accent and slight chuckle, “I’ve lived EVERYWHERE and looking to move again” with a smile as bright as a sunrise. He graduated from MLK College Preparatory School of Frayser on May 18, 2019. While attending, he played football for 2 years. He was set to pursue his dreams to go to the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City in 2020 to become a Michelin Star Chef. Tylor began his Christian journey in August of 2014 under the ministry of Pastor Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church New York. He had big dreams of opening an upscale restaurant, which he had planned to name “Black Ty”. He enjoyed trying many things and was also quite athletic. His various pastimes include cooking/trying new foods, playing ANY game on the PlayStation 4 system, watching movies, playing football & basketball, swimming and roller skating with his dad, brother, and cousins. One things for sure, all those whose paths he crossed will forever remember his giving heart, handsome looks, his free-spirited, fun personality, a laugh that could encourage anyone to have a better day and a smile that would light up ANY room . Ask anyone about Tylor and they’ll all say the same thing. “I’m going to miss how he used to make me laugh. I’ll miss all of his silly ways.”
