Car Wash

March 5, 2015

Carwash! "Despite the cold weather and intense wind (that eventually knocked down our tent), our key club car wash was quite successful, raising over two hundred dollars to fundraise for DCON. Many cars were left clean, and all members who attended bonded over the service work and the array of food left on the table for us. Our drying and washing teams did an excellent job of washing each car, along with the group of members who held up signs along the sidewalk to promote our key club car wash. It was definitely worth the hours. Good job, Liberty Key Club!"

Dance Marathon

January 24, 2015

Dance Marathon Las Vegas Dance Marathon 2015 was an amazing experience. The event was held to the UNLV student Union building for 6 hours straight. Throughout the night there was a lot of dancing, special performances, and also, many CMN hospital patients got on the stage to share their story ( including Liberty’s own, Serena Schibetta). Pizza was served and crafting tables were set up, Music was blasting throughout the ballroom and people were taking long time. Thank you to LVDM15 committee for planning such a fun filled event! I’m already looking forward to next yea!

Dcon

March 13-15, 2015

DCON 2015 DCON 2015 was my first DCON ever and it is an experience I will never forget. I got to learn a bunch of new things about the projects that Key Club is involved in and more knowledge on my board position. Learning all these new things from the seminars got me more driven and inspired to get more involved with Key Club in general. With DCON having everyone in the Cali-Nev-Ha District, it helped getting everyone in Region 5 to get to know each other, making it feel more like a family which was very pleasant. DCON is also where the old positions retire and the new ones get installed. There was a bunch of emotions going on when retirement and installation was happening but it felt great in the long run. It was very fun to learn and celebrate along with our Cali-Nev-Ha Ohana at DCON 2015.

Inductions

Welcome!

This was my first induction for Key Club. It wasn't at all of what I had expected. It was a lot more sad since we had to say goodbye to our president from the last term. We had done the inductions then we had went and gave her basically a surprise. Her friends had wanted to give her a cake to say farewell and that she did an amazing job. The inductions lasted for about 1 hour. But after that I knew that the new board was in and the old board is now out. This is going to be a crazy year to get used to with the new responsibilities I have been given. A good one also since I will be making a lot of new friends.

Hannah Felize DeLuna was dedicated from the very start. She attended as many community service events as she could. She is genuinely passionate in helping others and building towards a better society. Although she was beaten for the position of treasurer, she persevered to at least try and better herself as a person and as a leader. She is the kind of member, or maybe even officer, that every key club needs! . Ian Medina (Member)

DCM Banquet

March 19,

Out With The Old And In With The New This was my first ever DCM. I didn't know what to expect. When I heard that people will cry I didn't know what to think. This years DCM Banquet was held at Liberty High school. They had been serving pancakes for breakfast for dinner kind of style. The banquet very emotional. We had heard 2 speeches from members who were getting retired. They were both very heart warming and sad, but it also should they way how their position had impacted their lives. After attending that DCM I know really truly am happy in being a Key Club member.
