The company Thanks to the talent and vision of the brilliant, unconventional entrepreneur Goffredo Reggiani, REGGIANI Illuminazione SpA has been working in the field of lighting for over half a century. Born in Brianza, Italy, near Milan, an area with strong industrial traditions, REGGIANI has grown worldwide thanks to its sound technological base and its concrete approach. The company’s solid professionalism and its position as international benchmark for lighting technology stem from the experience acquired in managing and resolving complex problems, offering superb lighting solutions. In the field of lighting, Reggiani’s reputation has always been founded on technological knowhow rooted in our ability to simplify complex technologies with a wide range of functions, making them easy to use. Our history and our areas of specialization make us the ideal partner for anyone wishing to make their own environments more livable, illuminating them in a safe, environmentally friendly manner.
Technological evolution Over the years, many technological innovations have borne the Reggiani name, some of which have become international standards. • 1970s: Low Voltage, first luminaire range for low voltage halogen lamps with dichroic reflectors in Europe; • 1980s: Downspot, the first fully adjustable recessed luminaires that would set a new market standard; 4
• 1990s: the forward-thinking use of innovative, low-energy light sources and the fixing system designed for quick and easy installation; • 2005: the year of the IOS (Interchangeable Optical System), the first highly efficient, practical interchangeable optical system; • 2009: development of the Reggiani LED Luce system. For the first time in history, lighting in a megastore was provided exclusively
with LED light sources – and the designers chose Reggiani LED Luce; • Today: Reggiani is keeping its eye on the evolution in LED technology. The company uses the best high power LED diodes available on the market in combination with optimized heat sinks and highend drivers, and the result is the exceptional RE LED Luce system.

REGGIANI Illuminazione SPA Headquarters: Sovico, Italy All Reggiani products are designed and tested in its headquarters in Sovico, the site which, besides sales and administration, also hosts the laboratories, certified by international bodies. Here resources, technologies and facilities take the customer’s needs and turn them into new concept products, non-standard and tailor-made products. 6
The ultra modern IMQ-certified laboratories for specialized testing — authorized to perform UNI 13032-1 and EN/IEC 60598-1 compliant testing — and the main logistics hub for worldwide distribution are also located in Italy. The Sovico headquarters is home to the RE Lighting International Forum, a 2,500 m2 space where the entire product line and all our
technologies can be tangibly tested. Our background in innovation is so focused on resolving real problems that we willingly collaborate with anyone who can make a contribution: customers, designers and lighting designers. Reggiani’s goal is to use this 2,500 m2 area as a venue for meetings, workshops and encounters with customers, architects, sector experts,
schools and universities. In recent years, energy efficiency has become a priority and thus one of the Forum’s specific purposes is to brainstorm on new techniques for eco-friendly, energy-aware lighting.

Reggiani UK Borehamwood, London, UK Reggiani Ltd Lighting markets and distributes the products on the British territory and is home to the RE Lighting International Design Center, pulsing hub for the management of large-scale international projects and relations with designers, architects, lighting designers and lighting engineers.
The full capacity of Reggiani international service is expressed through in-depth interaction between the London Design Center and the Headquarters in Sovico. Reggiani USA Inc. Carlstadt, New Jersey, USA With offices in Carlstadt, NJ, Reggiani USA Inc. is located in the New York Metropolitan area. It is the focal
point of Reggiani production, sales, technical development and logistics for the American market. Development of luminaires to be sold on the American market is followed by the Reggiani Lighting USA engineering office. These products are manufactured, assembled and UL/ETL certified and thus meet the severe standards applied in the United States.
Reggiani China Ningbo, China Created by Goffredo Reggiani in 1997 and managed by Danilo Reggiani and Qiu Guo Liang, with the aid of Italian technicians, Reggiani Ningbo Itg Lighting Co. Ltd is the corporate facility in China, ensuring extraordinarily efficient production that meets the highest European and American standards. 7

RE IOS
The extraordinary, high efďŹ ciency, interchangeable optical system offering true freedom of design. The IOS (Interchangeable Optical System) was created in 2005, fruit of research conceived and pursued by Fabio Reggiani, exponent of a pragmatic, energy-aware culture.

High performance and flexible use: these are the two key features, the beacons guiding creation of this extraordinary reflector, the technological backbone of the Reggiani offering. This is the first system with interchangeable optics giving designers the possibility of creating extremely high energy efficiency solutions as well as great design freedom.
Indeed, luminaires incorporating the IOS optical system can reach a luminous efficiency of up to 90%, more than 25% higher than that achieved with reflectors featuring conventional optics.

Twist-lock fixing system
Everything in the RE IOS system has been conceived for savings: lower energy consumption; lower installation costs because it is so easy to assemble, disassemble and replace; lower initial outlay, because higher luminous efficiency means fewer luminaires; lower system costs, because fewer light points means a simpler, more efficient system; lower air-conditioning costs, because fewer light points and lower installed wattage mean less dispersed heat. We have opted to create lines of reflectors for different types of light sources, each having its own dimensional specifications (focus, diameter, length). With great care we have focused on the design and manufacture of reflectors. The twist-lock fixing system is the direct result of the reflector design 12
process, a fixing system used for all types of reflectors. This great insight means that even the least experienced person can use it. Such fitting is highly flexible since the optics — and thus the light beams — can be changed using a single luminaire. Indeed, this means that the lighting design of a given space can be changed without changing the luminaire each time. Finally, to complete the system:
the glass safety shield. Again in this case, the choice has fallen to a molded, tempered safety glass as it guarantees mechanical strength and thus much higher level of safety than flat tempered glass. Since the surface of independent glass is much harder, the coatings can be applied by ion bombardment which guarantees that they will last forever.
At the same time, it permits custom finishes to meet the widest demand, from colored dichroic filters to selective filters for food. Having a full series of optics that are separate from the luminaire and easily replaceable means that the lighting of a given setting can be changed without replacing the whole luminaire, and this translates into efficiency and enhances design freedom.

Parallel with the design requirements, the process of choice is developed on the basis of the light beam — that is the amount of light — really needed. Only then does one choose the most appropriate product design to light the area. RE IOS optics (in diameters of 80 and 130 mm) come with a complete line of light beams and colors and can accommodate the main energysaving light sources.
The RE IOS system is fit with a series of filters, to reduce infrared, ultraviolet radiation and to achieve the desired chromatic effects. More specifically: 1 colorless base filter -- 4 colored dichroic filters -4 selective filters for food -- IR filter -- UV filter. The number of possible design combinations is practically unlimited and the filter is always customized according to the beam.

The Reggiani IOS system The Reggiani IOS System is the most innovative response that lighting technology now makes available to designers to create solutions in the pursuit of the highest degree of efficiency and flexibility. Reggiani IOS is a complete series of optics with a very wide range of light beams and colours, making it possible to change the lighting design layout of a setting at any time and very simply, maximising efficiency each time.
99.99% pure aluminium IOS reflector with Ø 80 mm, twist-lock fixing system and tempered safety glass (clear for narrow beams, microsphere for medium and wide beams, prismatic for the Wall Washer Mira version). There are also versions with gold optics, selective filters for lighting foodstuffs or coloured dichroic filters.

RE LED Luce
RE LED Luce The RE IOS interchangeable optical system used in combination with the best high power LED diodes 2009 saw the birth of the RE LED Luce system. The availability of high power white light LEDs prompted Fabio Reggiani to create RE LED Luce, 18
an extraordinary light source in which the performance of the best diodes selected by Reggiani is enhanced by the exclusive RE IOS system technology. The LED Luce system, driving force behind the evolution in Reggiani technology, integrates the best high power, white light LEDs in exclusive luminaire bodies, complete with the
extraordinary characteristics of RE IOS. The result? Extremely high efďŹ ciency both in terms of optics and energy, instant interchangeability, a full range of light beams and reduced installation costs.
RE IOS technology and the advent of the LED. The natural evolution of IOS came with the advent of the LED. The introduction of plastics (polycarbonates) has made it possible to produce reflectors with shapes and profiles better suited to the demands of new light sources — flat instead of spheroidal, arranged
on a plane rather than at the center of a volume. This is because plastics are more ductile than aluminium and glass. Again, in this case, the search for reflector material has been at the core of REGGIANI technological innovation. And our choice has gone to: polycarbonate, stabilized up to a temperature of 140°C (remember the temperatures in
play are relatively limited, at most 90°C highly reflective metallization to achieve efficiency of up to 95%; exclusive scratch resistant protective coating with vitrified, clear, high transmission shield surfaces (light transmission 9597%); yellowing-free and antistatic material.

RE LED Luce
The RE LED Luce system, the driving force behind the evolution in RE Lighting philosophy, incorporates the best high power, white light LEDs into the exclusive luminaire bodies that use interchangeable IOS optics. These are low-energy, maintenance-free diodes with the following features: 3000K and 4000K; 3, 6, 7, 10, 10, 14, 26, 32 and 39 W; high color 20
rendering index, never below CRI 82; lifespan over 50,000 hours (maintaining 70% of the initial luminous flux). RE LED Luce technology The perfect combination of a high performance LED Luce, an optimized heat sink, efficient optics and a high-end driver: this is the RE LED Luce system.
LED The choice of LED as light source for LED Luce is based on two basic concepts: to guarantee the best light emission and to keep light quality specifications (CCT and CRI) within the limits established at the source, always at 3 Step MacAdam or less.
HEAT SINK Thermal simulations and laboratory tests performed according to standard IEC-60598-1 on luminaires have enabled Reggiani to create passive heat sinks in aluminium, units that ensure perfectly efficient, long-lasting LEDs under the standard operating conditions.
OPTICS LED Luce shares the excellent design and materials of IOS, and its optical compartments offer the same interchangeability and extraordinary efficiency, resulting in more light for the same energy. CONTROL GEAR TECHNOLOGY High efficiency, constant current drivers provide real energy savings and guarantee a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
GROUP
REGGIANI QUALITY REGGIANI LED Luce luminaires (14W/26W/32W) are certified as “EXEMPT GROUP” as per EN 62471:2008. This means that RE LED Luce products are safe in any operating environment, with no limitations whatsoever. Once again, along with the high
quality of the materials used, REGGIANI research and innovation has achieved qualitatively evolved, efficient products that are safe.

The Reggiani LED Luce system The LED LUCE system integrates the best high power, white light LEDs in exclusive luminaire bodies, complete with the extraordinary characteristics of Reggiani IOS (the IOS system is based on optics with a luminous effi ciency of up to 90%) – they are instantly interchangeable and have very high optical and energy effi ciency, a full range of beams and lower installation costs.

In many product sectors, particularly the food industry, visual perception requires lighting that can really enhance the chromatic characteristics of the product displayed. The selective filters make it possible to change the colour temperature emitted by the light sources, controlling and modifying the spectrum of the light source 32
with the reflection or transmission of certain wavelengths of light radiations, making it possible to suitably enhance the specific food, leaving the original efficiency of the luminaire almost the same. Flexibility was one of the main objectives of the IOS system: for the same light source and position of the light point, changing the IOS
