Hertalan EPDM is a synthetic rubber and thanks to its unique qualities in all climates, hertalan is the ideal product for roofing and cladding systems alike. Hertalan EPDM has an exceptional life span (30 years for the complete system), is 100% ozone and UV resistant, root resistant to FLL/prEN, self extinguishing NEN 6383, bitumen resistant, rapidly installed and complies with all current building regulations.
Hertalan products Environmentally friendly innovation Hertalan hertaled is an eco-friendly alternative to lead consisting of EPDM with a 200 mm band of aluminum reinforcement. The reinforcement within the hertaled makes it possible to mould and bend the product to suit the application.
Hertaled has been specially developed in our factory as an environmentally friendly green substitution for lead and unlike heavy metals does not allow detrimental substances to enter the environment. Hertaled can be used in cavity walls and most DPC situations but is particularly suited to stepped DPC and cavity tray applications. Hertaled is an ideal roofing accessory providing a cost effective flashing solution for all flat roof systems. Rapid installation In contrast to lead, hertaled is rapidly installed and environmentally friendly. Besides being environmetally friendly hertaled is also cost effective and due to its lightweight is available on rolls of 12 metres, this allows for rapid installation and substantially reduces labour costs. Hertaled has no resale value; therefore in areas of easy access where there is a high risk of the lead being stolen it is the ideal cost effective alternative.
