A woman who spent almost 30 years in a coma is now alert and talking after her family refused to give up hope for her recovery.

Munira Abdulla, of Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, suffered brain damage in a car accident in 1991 and never regained consciousness, according to Tribune Media. She had been picking up her 4-year-old son, Omar Webair, now 32, from school.

The National reports her son spent countless hours by her side, hopeful that the doctors were wrong and his mother would wake up eventually. And 27 years later, in 2018, she did.

“I never gave up on her because I always had a feeling that one day she

will wake up,” Webair said.

Webair remembers the accident well. He said his mother and her brother-inlaw came to pick him up from school, and he and his mother were sitting in the back seat when they saw a bus coming toward them, he said.

“When she saw the crash coming, she hugged me to protect me from the blow,” Webair said.

He survived with minimal bruises, but his mother suffered severe head injuries. According to the report, Abdulla was moved around to multiple different hospitals for treatment.

Here’s more from the Daily Wire: Omar would visit his mother every day, walking more than a mile to see her. He said he spent hours with her each day and could tell whether she was in pain, even though she couldn’t speak. He said it was tough to hold down a job due to his mother’s condition, but he didn’t regret anything.

“I never regretted it. I believe that, because of my support for her, God saved me from bigger troubles,” he told The National.

a government grant for special treatment at a hospital in Germany, according to the report.

While there, one day, Webair said he got into an argument in his mother’s hospital room, and his mother seemed to sense that something was wrong. He said she began to make sounds, but doctors dismissed them as not being unusual.

Three days later, however, Webair said his mother screamed his name and then the names of other people she knew.

“I was flying with joy. For years I have dreamt of this moment, and my name was the first word she

Since waking up, Abdulla has been making slow and steady progress. According to the report, she now is able to answer questions, recite verses from the Koran and make short trips out of the hospital, including to a mosque.

Her son encouraged families “not to lose hope for their loved ones. All those years, the doctors told me she was a hopeless case.”

An Uber driver who refused to take a woman to her abortion appointment has been fired, various news outlets now are reporting.

The pro-life driver has been facing a huge backlash online after the woman’s Reddit post about her experience went viral earlier this week. Neither the woman’s name nor the driver’s are known, and the incident has not been confirmed.

However, The Blaze reports the driver reportedly was fired for refusing to aid the woman in her decision to abort her unborn baby.

The woman identified herself as a 20-year- old college student from New York. Reports suggest she may attend Cornell University in Ithaca.

She said she is “in no position to care for a child,” and scheduled an abortion at a facility in New York City.

She said she ordered an Uber, and noticed that the driver “seemed uncomfortable” not long after she got into the car, according to Yahoo News.

“After a few more minutes he asked, ‘are we going to an abortion clinic?’ I was shocked; I had no idea what to say, so I just remained quiet.

He then said ‘I know it’s none of my business, but…’ and proceeded to mention something about his wife being preg -nant,” she remembered.

They decorated with greens and lights, and exchanged gifts.

Later, Germans and Scandinavians placed evergreen trees inside their homes to show their hope in the forthcoming spring. The first Christmas Tree was decorated

by Protestant Christians in 16th century Germany.

There is a matter of conscience, and we must please the Lord.

It is pride of self to feel that we have achieved a spiritually higher plane, by doing or not doing something about which the Bible is silent.

In conclusion, no, you will not lose your salvation unless you knowingly reject God. But, joining in the world’s festivities that are ungodly grieves the Holy Spirit. He does not wish to go with you to places and events that are demonic.

Why grieve the Holy Spirit? Why grieve your spirit?

Let’s do all for the glory of God, and let Him speak to you in your Spirit-man.

Recently, Nick and I completed a twenty day fast in preparation for Resurrection Sunday.

I then started to think about some of the types of fasts we have been on. Besides the recent one we have also fasted for a specific time after New Year’s Day at a pastor’s request for deeper revelation and guidance in the direction of the church or the fast just to show our deep love for our God. The Bible teaches of many types of fasts to direct His people but there are also non-biblical types like before a blood test, or before a surgery. Generally fasting is for cleansing either spiritually or physically.

Now I have another one to try and you’re welcome to join me. This 40-day challenge is to give up something that is preventing us from having effective prayer and blocking God’s will for our lives in a completely different way. It’s called a negative WORD fast. I’m referring to the type of negative words that have filtered into our lives. For now, I’ll narrow it down to words that come from Judgments, Criticism, Sarcasm, Negativity, Complaining, Gossip.

You are welcome to add other negative words later, but I found that these six hinder our emotional healing, God’s promises and our destinies.

speaks of this kind of fast is in Isaiah 58:6-9. In verse 9 Isaiah says that the Lord will hear and answer our cries if we remove the pointing of the finger and the speaking of wickedness. I also learned in a Greek-Hebrew dictionary that the word “fast” in the original Hebrew means “to cover the mouth.” Now that fast could mean food or our tongue! These 6 words that come out of our mouths from our hearts are just a few but we will soon get the idea and may want to fast other times over more words or thoughts that prevent our spiritual growth.

As a counselor I am confidential, non-judgmental and understanding du-

ring all counseling sessions, but in my pre-counseling days I have been known to have a very sharp tongue, sarcastic, and judgmental, to family, others at church, neighbors, etc. I was chastised many times

by God and sometimes other folks until I realized what I was doing and repented, asked for forgiveness to God and those I had hurt. Then, through God’s Word, many studies and receiving ministry myself, it dawned on me that it is a habit I did not even realize was happening and it all stems from low self-esteem. My tongue was coming from the pain in my heart. In order to be free from this kind of bondage which is linked to words that we think and say we need to be very aware of understanding the power of the words and what God’s Word says in James 3:2 that if we tame our words we can tame our body and mind.

The first thing is to realize that we have to quit living in the past by allowing our failures, mistakes and sin to affect our identity and stir up our hopelessness. Then we can begin to move to what promises God has pre-ordained for us.

these time frames have experienced a wonderful release in our lives. We must realize that as powerful negative words are, when we fast from using them, we will see powerful changes because when we hold our tongue from making those hurtful comments, others will begin to consider us wise for our silence. And finally, we lose the remembrance of past failures, and reinforce gratefulness in our lives.

No, it’s not just another fast. It is another life changing one. Give it a try. Maybe one word at a time or all six. Later learn to fast more and see the joy of the Lord grow in your life from Judgments, Criticism, Sarcasm, Negativity, Complaining, Gossip.

This Is Resurrection Power’: 5-Year-Old Thrown from Mall of America Balcony Has No Brain Damage

A five-year-old boy who was attacked and viciously thrown from the third floor of the Mall of America is defying the odds and stunning doctors in what is being called a “miracle”, according to the pastor at the family’s church.

Landen Hoffman was shopping with his mother and friends on April 12 when he was thrown over the rail of a balcony by 24-year-old Emmanuel Aranda.

Aranda told police that he had gone to the mall intending to kill an adult “because they usually stand near the balcony” but it did not “work out.”

Aranda is now being charged with first degree attempted premeditated murder.

“It is a miracle he wasn’t killed,” Pastor Mac Hammond

told the congregation. Hammond leads Living Word Christian Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and shared an update with the church Easter Sunday.

Hammond and his wife visited the family last week to encourage them, pray, and bring communion after the incident.

Landen fell to the first floor and suffered from broken arms and legs and until recently it was believed that he suffered significant head trauma.

However, Hammond told the church that he received a call from Landen’s grandfather with good news after a five hour MRI to determine the full extent of the boy’s injuries.

“There was zero evidence of brain damage - there wasn’t even swelling in the brain,”

Hammond said Sunday. “No spinal cord injury, no nerve damage, no internal injuries that were life-threatening.”

Hammond added that one of his attending physicians marveled at Landen’s health.

“This is truly a miracle. It’s like he fell off a bicycle instead of off the third floor of the mall,” Hammond said recounting the physician’s words.

Hammond also shared during the message that the Holy Spirit had given Landen’s mother a warning just before they met friends at the mall that day.

“In her words, a dread came over, but she didn’t feel like she could leave because she was supposed to meet this other mom and son there,” Hammond explained.

But he says she did the only thing she knew to do -- she prayed.

“She called on the ministering angels to hedge him about,” Hammond recalled.

Although mall goers were heard screaming as Landen landed, witnesses say his mother was heard yelling “just pray!”

Hammond told the church it was an Easter miracle.

“This is resurrection power... this is what the Word will do.

It’ll open up power to you to restore whatever the enemy is able to bring about or fend him off completely.”

Assistnews- When Russell Morse and his wife Gertrude first went into “the closed land” of Tibet in the 1920s, they traveled on pack animals and sedan chairs with their two young sons from Kunming to Batang, on the Sino-Tibetan frontier.

During their first night of the journey they planned to stay in a temple at Leh, “but found that three very suspicious-looking men had already moved in,” according to Gertrude Morse’s account in her faith-building book, The Dogs May Bark: But the Caravan Moves On. “It was feared they might be spies for a band of robbers,” she noted.

Therefore, they shifted their plans and stayed the night at a headman’s house in Tea Tree Mountain Village.

Bandits were known to occupy their route, so the

next morning, Russell sent two men ahead to check their path in an area where robbers usually ambushed and robbed people.

On the second night they camped near Drubalong, and slept very soundly in their three-in-one tent.

Their Tibetan companions, however, did not sleep so well and got up several times that night to check for signs of any prowling thieves.

After she woke up, Gertrude asked one of the men, “Did you see any robbers?”

“There certainly were robbers around, but they did not bother us,” was his reply.

“How did that happen?

Did some of our Tibetan friends stand guard?” she wondered.

“No, but a very excellent watchman helped me through the night,” he said, with a wry smile.

“No I don’t. In the morning he was gone.”

On their return journey, a few local residents from the area quietly approached the Morse’s helpers and questioned them.

“Who were the guards around your camp when you went through here before?” they asked.

“We had no guards except ourselves,” was the reply.

When Gertrude and Russell heard this remarkable account, it further confirmed God’s care and provision for them as pioneering missionaries.

Gertrude thought of Hebrews 1:14: “…God’s ministering spirits (an els) sent forth to minister for them who shall but to her home. About 2:00 p.m. she spoke with 2 of her friends about returning home.

They expected her release.

The doctor had other plans. On mom’s last day he appeared nervous and pressured. He used his medical authority to urge a change in protocol. He didn’t show us medical test results, the scans, the blood work. He simply told us, the patient was not responding to treatment. He insisted on a “drip.” He got his way.

That afternoon mom was dead. The physician wasn’t even there when special nurses began the “comfort” protocol.

Fr. Manion recalls, “There was no comfort at all. It was a lie. Mom saw what was happening. We did too. I was too weak to do anything. I didn’t have the strength. They loaded mom with 3 bags of

BEIJING, CHINA (ANS) — Officials in China’s third largest province are training pastors to include Communist ideology in their weekly sermons, according to a new report from a religious liberty watchdog.

The same officials also are forcing pastors to affirm traditional Chinese beliefs – such as ancestral worship – that conflict with Scripture, writes Michael Foust, ChristianHeadlines www.

ChristianHeadlines says that at issue is the approval of pastors within the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, the government-approved Protestant body that faces severe restrictions.

Pastors who failed a test on communist beliefs weren’t approved.

The ChristianHeadlines article says that last year the Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs in Henan province – the third-largest province with 94 million people – began applying Communist Party membership standards to screen ThreeSelf preachers, according to Bitter Winter, an organization that monitors religious liberty.

The assessment included two parts: a sample sermon and a questionnaire.

Bitter Winter told ChristianHeadlines the Bureau said pastors should write a sample sermon that must include “national policy, traditional culture and the core socialist values” in the text. Christian doctrines such as eternal

“The preachers are wor ried that churches in China will eventually become the CCP’s political propaganda agencies,” Bitter Winter’s Jiang Tao wrote.

One pastor was told to prepare a sermon on the subject, “Christians must love their country.”

Bitter Winter said that to gauge a pastor’s political standing, the questionnaire included questions about Chinese and communist beliefs. A pastor only passed if the answers corresponded with the beliefs of the government.

The question, “How do you regard tomb-sweeping and offering sacrifices to ancestors?” would need to include the answer, “This is part of China’s traditional culture; Christians can sweep tombs and offer sacrifices to their ancestors; it is not against the Bible.”

The question, “Why are minors not allowed to go to church?” should be fol-

lowed by the answer, “This is a national policy; not letting children enter churches is to ensure their physical and mental health.”

In one major city, Xinzheng (population 600,000), only 58 out of 100 pastors passed. In Luolong district, nearly 50 out of 80 pastors failed the assessment. “[T]e test for a preaching certificate is used to examine participants on their political thinking. Government officials don’t understand the Bible,” one pastor told Bitter Winter. “As long as you flatter the Communist Party and support it, you can pass the assessment.

Otherwise, no matter how well you can talk about the Bible, it would still be useless.”

Another pastor, who is in his 80s, said: “The government’s goal of training young preachers is to indoctrinate and infiltrate them, so that they use the CCP’s methods when giving sermons at gatherings, and, in the end, they will become more than willing to serve the CCP.”

Obama-Appointed Judge Blocks President Trump’s BY: STEVEN ERTELT New Rules Defunding Planned Parenthood

A federal judge appointed by pro-abortion President Barack Obama issued a ruling today keeping taxpayer funding flowing to Planned Parenthood by blocking a new prolife rule from the Trump administration.

U.S. District Court Judge Stanley Bastian, an Obama appointee, issued an injunction staying the changes from taking effect while several other legal challenges proceed. His temporary block applies nationwide. Pro-abortion attorneys general in 20 states and Washington, D.C. filed the lawsuit, arguing that the rule would hurt Planned Parenthood and other abortion companies and violate the Affordable Care Act. The new rules were slated to take effect May 3.

Here’s more: Bastian heard several hours of arguments Thursday from Washington state and the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association challenging the administration’s Title X funding rule.

“The president’s relentless assault on women’s health is being fought with the full force of the law here in Washington state,” Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, said in a statement after the oral arguments. “We will not allow this or any presidential administration to take women’s constitutional rights away, and we will not allow doctors and nurses to be si-

lenced when it comes to giving patients the information and medical care they need.”

The ruling comes just two days after another federal judge in Oregon announced his intent to put the new rules on hold, siding with a coalition of Democratic attorneys general, Planned Parenthood and the American Medical Association.

The Trump administration countered that the Supreme Court upheld a similar Title X rule issued by the Reagan administration that was never fully implemented, and that a handful of provisions in the

Affordable Care Act that do not explicitly mention abortion cannot override that precedent. The Justice Department also argued the rule is justified because, despite a longstanding ban on federal funding for abortions, groups like Planned Parenthood could “co-mingle” their federal income for contraceptive services and screenings with other funding used for abortion.

Title X funds help low-income women and men receive birth control, cancer screenings, STD testing and other health care services. While the tax money cannot be used to

North Carolina Senate Votes to Override Governor’s Veto of Bill to Stop Infanticide STEVEN ERTELT

The North Carolina Senate has voted to override Gov. Roy Cooper’s veto of a bill to protect newborn babies from infanticide.

State Senate Bill 359 would require abortion workers to provide the same level of medical care to an infant born alive from a botched abortion that they would any other infant born at the same gestational age. It also would require the infant to be transferred to a hospital for further care. Health workers also would be require to report these instances to authorities.

Abortion workers who violate the measure could face felony charges.

Cooper, a pro-abortion Democrat who has the support of Planned Parenthood, vetoed the bill.

Republicans picked up enough Democrat votes to override Governor Cooper to override the vote 30-20 — with the bare 2/3 vote needed to pass.

Republicans recently lost their veto-proof supermajorities in the General Assembly, and in the Senate they needed at least one Democrat to side with them and against Cooper. Two Democrats originally voted for the bill, and on Tuesday one of them continued his support, providing the final Senate vote necessary for the veto override.

The Senate wasn’t the only obstacle for the bill to become law, however. The N.C. House of Representatives must also

vote to override Cooper’s veto if lawmakers want to pass the bill into law over the governor’s objection.

Republicans say they believe there is a loophole in state law that would allow doctors to get away with killing newborn babies through purposeful negligence, since doctors don’t currently have a legal duty to care for newborn babies.

“This bill is nothing except requiring care for a newborn child, sep-

arate from its m o t h e r, born alive,” Sen. Joyce Krawiec, a Forsyth County Republican who sponsored the bill, in the Senate debate Tuesday.

And while Democrats accused Republicans of using the bill for cynical political purposes, Republicans said the same of Democrats.

“It’s a sad day when we have to come back here because

we have a governor who decided making a political statement was more important than protecting living newborn babies,” Krawiec said.

The bill originally passed the Senate 28-19, with several Republicans absent that day.

All but two Democrats voted no originally — Sen. Ben Clark of Hoke County and Sen. Don

Davis of Pitt County. But on Tuesday, all the Republicans were present for the vote. And even though Clark switched on Tuesday to side with Cooper, Davis provided the final vote that Republicans needed to override the veto.

Cooper criticized the bill as

pay for abortions, it indirectly funds Planned Parenthood’s vast abortion business by about $60 million a year.

The new “Protect Life” rule prohibits Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses from receiving Title X tax dollars unless they completely separate their abortion practices from their taxpayer-funded services. That mean housing their family planning services in separate buildings with separate staff from their abortion businesses.

Planned Parenthood already has said it will not comply.

Several Planned Parenthood “unnecessary” and claimed it would “criminalize doctors for a practice that simply does not exist” in his veto message.

During the House debate, however, state Rep. Pat McElraft, R-Emerald Isle, gave a powerful testimony about working as a phlebotomist and seeing newborns who survived abortions being abandoned to die in the hospital where she worked, according to North Carolina Health News.

“I was on a break and went in to visit with the pathologist in the pathology lab and I asked him, I said, ‘What are all these little pigs doing in

these buckets?’

He told me, ‘Pat, look again,’ and I did. They were perfectly formed little human babies in those buckets,” she said.

McElraft said the incident occurred in the 1970s, soon after she began working in the medical field. She also said she knew of a doctor at the hospital who drowned newborns who survived abortions.

Currently, 19 states do not

affiliates and other pro-abortion state politicians also are challenging the rule in a series of lawsuits.

What success the lawsuits ultimately will have remains uncertain. In 1991, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a similar rule from President Ronald Reagan’s administration in Rust v. Sullivan. However, because of the lengthy legal challenge, the rule never went into effect; pro-abortion President Bill Clinton eliminated the rule when he took office soon after the Supreme Court decision.

A recent Marist poll found that, by a double-digit margin, a majority of all Americans oppose any taxpayer funding of abortion (54 percent to 39 percent).

In late March, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released its first Title X grant awards under the new policy, and Planned Parenthood received about $44 million less than it had in previous years.

Meanwhile, the pro-life Obria Group will receive $1.7 million a year in Title X grants to provide comprehensive family planning services to low-income individuals in California.

Its services include pregnancy testing and counseling, prenatal care, HIV/AIDS testing, ultrasounds, cancer testing, well-woman care, pap smears, STD testing and treatment, adoption referral and post-abortion support, according to Townhall.

New church opens in former Islamic State area of Syria

Parish leaders opened the new church on Thursday in a city that became an icon for the resistance against the Islamic State (IS) in 2014.

“Afrin was destroyed, but with the help of God, and the permission of the administration in Kobani, we opened this place,” said Zanî, a priest from Afrin who fled when Turkish-backed Islamist rebels took over in March. “And our people will meet here and we thank the people of Kobani,” he told Kurdistan 24.

Kurdistan 24 said about six Christian families from Afrin fled to Kobani, where a total of approximately 300 Christians now live.

Farzad, project manager of the Christian NGO AVC International, which supported the opening, said this is the first time in recent memory a church has opened in the city.

“The last church [in Kobani] was destroyed 30 years ago and the last Christian meeting was 55 years ago,” he told Kurdistan 24.

Over the past three years, Christians in Kobani worshipped privately in home prayer groups. “When the war in Kobani started, and ISIS

attacked Kobani, they [refugees] came to Suruc, and we start[ed] helping them with the hospital, and camps,” Farzad said.

“You have to realize Christianity doesn’t have a very long history [in the area]. There were churches in Kobani, and a lot of descendants from Armenians that were forced to become Muslim still live in Kobani,” he said.

Kurdistan 24 said many Armenian refugees settled in Kobani around 1915 after fleeing the Armenian genocide. However, after IS attacked Kobani in 2014, some Muslims Kurds also converted to Christianity.

“IS encouraged them to find out about Islam, and see if it was true Islam or not.”

Ahmed Sheikho, a member of the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) told Kurdistan 24 that radical groups destroyed the previous religious co-existence in the region.

“Today, we opened the church in Kobani, following the principle of the democratic nation, we want every religion, ethnic group, national group to coexist together, pray together, and we will help them,” he said.

According to multiple reports, the first published by Reuters, and cited by Middle East ministry Behold Israel, there has been a spike in converts to Christianity over the past year, many stating that Syria’s ongoing atrocities and radical Islamic factions, mainly IS– Islamic State — as their reasons for converting.

A conservative group is demanding more answers about how the government spent taxpayer dollars on aborted baby body parts for research.

This week, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) asking for documents about aborted baby parts that were purchased through the Food and Drug Administration for testing on “humanized mice.”

“Why are U.S. taxpayer dollars being used to contract with a company alleged to have trafficked in baby body parts? Judicial Watch is demanding a full accounting of the procedures as well as the funds used in this disturbing experimentation,” its President Tom Fitton said in a statement.

The group said it decided to file the lawsuit after HHS did not adequately respond to its request for information on Sept. 28, 2018.

By Katey Hearth Lebanon (MNN) — As the Islamic State takes credit for this week’s attacks in Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, a secular report unveils this troubling issue – IS families in Syria long for the caliphate’s return.

“ISIS has been defeated inside Syria, and the West seems to think the war in Syria is winding down,” observes Tom Atema, President of Heart for Lebanon.

However, eradicating the Islamic State’s ideology is proving easier said than done. As noted in the aforementioned report, the wives and children of IS fighters still embrace terrorist ideals.

According to Atema, those messages exist in Lebanon’s refugee camps, too.

“It’s not openly talked about but it’s openly pursued by radical groups to get more people to join that way of thinking, and many do.”

The IS caliphate: gone but not dead Last month, U.S. President Trump and Syrian officials declared an end to the Islamic State caliphate, leading many to believe the war in Syria was near conclusion.

Islamic State fighters recognize the importance of shaping young minds. A woman living in Syria’s al-Hol refugee camp underscored this fact during a conversation with NPR: This is the next generation of the caliphate.

“The war – the ideology war – is not over, and it never will be,” Atema continues. “It will always have its followers and its groups. But, once again, I think it’s an opportunity – a gift of opportunity from God – for those of us who are faith followers of Jesus Christ.”

While some scientists have complained about the changes, others pointed to evidence that research using human fetal tissue has been going on for decades but, by and large, it has not been successful. Dr. David Prentice and Tara Sander Lee of the Charlotte Lozier Institute said there are ethical alternatives available to scientists that do not involve the destruction of a human life.

A November letter from HHS assistant secretary of health Brett Giroir said the Trump administration is “fully committed to prioritizing, expanding, and accelerating efforts to develop and implement the use of these alternatives.” He also said the department is “pro-life and pro-science.”

The administration said HHS is conducting an

audit of all acquisitions involving human fetal tissue to “ensure conformity with procurement and human fetal tissue research laws and regulations.”

Details uncovered by CNS News in 2018 shed light on an NIH contract with University of California San Francisco, which provides money for fetal body parts to conduct experiments involving “humanized mice.”

Aborted baby body parts used in the experiments were taken from healthy, potentially viable unborn babies. According to the report, the aborted babies were 18 to 24 weeks gestation from “women with normal pregnancies before elective termination for non-medical reasons.” Another article indicated aborted babies’ livers and thymuses also were used. They were between 20 weeks and 24 weeks gestation.

A 2017 journal article indicates researchers also used aborted babies’ intestines in their experiments.

The stakes are way too high. Listen to the wooing of the Holy Spirit gently calling you to repentance. Offer to Him contriteness of heart.
