Doctors Told Mom to Abort Two of Her Triplets. She Refused

The news devastated British mother Katie Johnson.

Her unborn triplets’ lives were at risk, and doctors suggested aborting one or two of them so that the other might survive.

But Johnson and her husband, Patrick, chose life for all three, The Daily Mail reports.

Fortunately, babies Oliver, Aurelia and Oscar all sur-

vived. The London triplets were discharged from the hospital in time to celebrate Christmas at home with their parents, the report states.

Johnson said she learned about the threat to the triplets’ lives during her 12-week ultrasound scan.

That day, doctors told her that the triplets were not sharing the placenta equally, and one baby was getting less sustenance than the others, according to the report.

“There was a risk to all of them,” she said. “Oliver was 25 percent smaller than his brother and the blood flow wasn’t getting to him properly. If Oliver died, Oscar could have died, too.”

As often happens in such situations, doctors suggested that she abort one or two of the unborn babies.

Many doctors now encourage or sometimes even pressure expecting mothers to abort their unborn babies when there is a medical problem. Sometimes, it’s because the mo-

ther has cancer. Other times, it’s because the unborn baby was diagnosed with Down syndrome or spina bifida – or even a cleft lip.

Parents of children with

disabilities frequently report feeling pressured to have abortions.

It is a trying situation for expecting mothers and one they should not have to face. Doctors are sup-

posed to be trusted medical experts, professionals who people depend on to heal and save lives. And mothers, already troubled by the health problem it-..

Personal sharing was key, so I talked about spending many years overcoming the need to depend on people for my wellbeing and thought the only way to fit in a group was to be like them. In college I would be a real party animal. Drink, cuss, smoke, laugh when it wasn’t funny only because they were laughing, etc. When I found Jesus and repented, I lost my former identity

and started to act like the “holy” Christians around me to create a new identity. My three bibles were rarely opened but they sure looked good in their genuine fake leather Bible cover. Words like Glory, Hallelujah was part of my new vocabulary. I never realized who the real “Me”, was. It was the many years of godly mentors, and later by studying as a temperament counselor I began to realize the truth. I could fool many, but I couldn’t fool myself and I sure didn’t fool God at all.

I dare you to take a risk and actually become who God called you to be, and that is to live only for an audience of 1. I am taking on the dare myself. I’ve come a long way, but I have a long way to go. Even now it is bringing me so much more peace and as I slow down, I am beginning to take a look at the frenzy of people in action around me and their inner man saying things like what am I going to get out of this?

What’s in it for me? Will it be fun? Will I gain something? If not, count me out!” instead of challenging our inner man to say, “God, help me to put others ahead of myself.

1. Do you care about others? Really care? I once read that it’s easier to shoot the wounded than it is to help them heal. Criticizing comes more naturally than listening, more than loving. Whether it’s the lost, the churched, the newly saved still cussing, or the pastor who has a megachurch. So many self-centered and self-righteous believers judge both those who don’t or do know Christ. “Lord, change my attitude.”

2. What about your role in your church? Are you looking for a community of believers that meets your needs? When did we as Christians start to think

A South Carolina bill prefiled for 2019 seeks to end all abortions by defining an unborn baby as a person under the law.

Its sponsor, state Rep. Josiah Magnuson, R-Campobello, said he hopes the bill will succeed in overturning the infamous U.S. Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, the Spartanburg Herald-Journal reports.

“The Personhood Act will define life at conception so that all humans are protected under state law, regardless of age,” Magnuson

said. “… The only way to slay the dragon is through the heart of Roe v. Wade.

“We need to remember our goal — to end abortion.”

His bill includes an exception for abortions when the mother’s life is in danger, according to the report.

Magnuson said the bill also would not ban in vitro fertilization or contraception.

“I believe protecting individual rights is the highest responsibility of the state, and the right to life is given to us by our creator,”

Jordan (MNN) — Four new believers in Jordan just took an unprecedented step of faith: they were baptized.

“It was just a beautiful, beautiful ceremony,” shares Samuel of Redemptive Stories. “They each got up and told their stories about how they had come to faith in Christ. We worshipped together and then had the opportunity to baptize them.”

This baptism was significant for a couple of reasons. First, each new believer comes from a Muslim background.

Secondly, “When someone crosses over from the other side into Christianity, there’s a big gap in opportunities for them but there’s also a gap in security,” Samuel explains. “I’ve been in Jordan for a number of

years and this was the first time that this sort of event occurred.”

“It takes unique, special situations, circumstances for them to feel ready and to take that step of faith.”

In Jordan, Christians from Muslim backgrounds face more pressure than those who have a Christian lineage. Usually, persecution comes from family members and neighbors who present only one option: forget Jesus and come back to Islam.

“Communal pressures and familial persecution is really what a lot of these believers face, much more so than state persecution. That can be physical beating, kicking him out of the home, losing jobs – which happens regularly.”

Bill Would Legalize Assisted Suicide in All Fifty States By Allowing “Suicide Tourism” By: ALEX SCHADENBERG

New Mexico House Bill 90 was introduced by Deborah Armstrong (Dem) to legalize assisted suicide.

The bill is referred to as The Elizabeth Whitefield End of Life Options Act. On December 21 I published the article New Mexico Assisted Suicide Bill is the most dangerous bill ever (Link) where I explained how Bill HB 90 expands the scope of assisted suicide in the USA. The most concerning part of HB 90 does not have a residency requirement and it allows assisted suicide to be approved via te-

lemedicine. Therefore, if legalized, Bill HB 90 will allow suicide tourism and legalize assisted suicide in all 50 US States.

Assisted suicide is always dangerous and should never be legal because it enables one person to be involved with causing the death of another person with lethal drugs.

Let’s not be innocent, legalizing assisted suicide leads to the further degradation of people with disabilities and other people who are medically vulnerable while creating new paths for elder abuse and

the perfect legal defense for deaths not considered by the assisted suicide debate.

There are many other concerns with Bill HB 90 such as the bill: • does not require the person to “self administer” thus it allows euthanasia (homicide), • allows nurses and physician assistants to participate in assisted suicide, • does not require a second assessor, • allows people with mental health disorders to die by assisted suicide, suicide,

• requires health care providers to falsify the death certificate.

• provides legal protection for anyone who participate in the act, • negates con science rights for health care providers by forcing them to refer for assisted suicide, • uses the undefined term “foreseeable future” for terminal illness, • while all of this is only held together by “good faith” compliance.

HB 90 is so wide that you can drive a hearse through it.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 20, 2018 /Standard Newswire/ -- President Donald Trump’s administration continues to scrutinize the use of fetal tissue from aborted babies in federally funded research. Recent hearings hosted by government oversight subcommittees are pinpointing this horrendous practice of using taxpayer dollars to experiment on preborn human bodies.

The National Institutes of Health(NIH), an organization within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), estimates it has spent $103 million taxpayer dollars purchasing and experimenting on human fetal tissue in fiscal year 2018. The HHS is currently auditing federal purchases of fetal tissue and the NIH has just announced it will spend up to $20 million on research alternatives.

However, during the recent hearings, NIH Director Dr. Francis S. Collins stated that while research on alternatives to the use of aborted fetal tissue is “scientifically, highly justified,” fetal tissue will nevertheless “continue to be the mainstay.”

Dr. Sally Temple, scientific director for the Neural Stem Cell Institute, was asked her opinion of the 2015 undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress exposing Planned Parenthood’s

unethical and potentially illegal profiteering from the sale of aborted baby body parts. Temple responded: “I found the videos shocking.” Yet she admitted that her company had purchased fetal tissue from one of the groups caught on the videos. Temple also stated the taxpayers should fund Planned Parenthood because it does “wonderful work for women’s health.”

Dr. Tara Sander Lee of the Charlotte Lozier Institute also revealed that human fetal tissue was never needed for research because of viable alternatives such as adult stem cells. Lee said, “We do not need fetal body parts from aborted babies to achieve future scientific and med-

ical advancements. After over 100 years of research, no therapies have been dis covered or developed that require aborted fetal tissue. History has shown us that we never needed fetal tissue.”

research. According to the federal contract database, the FDA signed the contract on July 25 with ABR to acquire “fresh” organs from aborted babies to implant them into mice. The taxpayer-funded project included paying nearly $16,000 to ABR for harvested organs, though the organization remains under investigation by the Department of Justice. ABR admitted that it has paid $60 for aborted babies and then sold their body parts at $325 per “specimen.”
