What’s Paige K Kote’s Testimony from homeless inside? streets of heroin addiction to Life in Christ P5 -Dead Body

Resurrected

My whole life I did not grow up in church. I did not know who God was and I did not care to know who He was, except for when I was in trouble. Then I would bargain with Him, but never kept my end of the bargain. Born P4-People Trapped in in Huntsville, AL in 1989, spent about 16 of my Human Trafficking Iyears wasted on drugs and alcohol. My parents divorced when I was only three years old and Dad moved out of state. This left me feeling abandoned and rejected and ultimately, I turned to drinking and experimenting with drugs. I was seeking acceptance but ended up being abused, inside raped, and sexually moles-

ted. Drinking and drugging controlled my life and I do not remember one sober day until July 25th, 2016. This is my testimony as a previous heroin addict. Heroin overtook my life and left me homeless, and alone, even losing custody of my daughter. If I did not have a needle to use, I would find one in the street and use it. Nothing mattered but that “high”. Overdosing thirteen different times with intermittent attempts at getting clean, to no avail. The fear of withdrawal was like the fear of dying and the only thing that made me feel better was using again and getting higher and higher. I was chasing a fabricated high that only the Holy Spirit can give us. Now I get my high from God. It has been eleven months clean and... Continuation on Page: 3

LOCAL POSTAL CUSTOMER

By Evangelist Daniel Kolenda

Our Gospel Crusade has just come to an end here in Harare, Zimbabwe. Despite the bitter cold weather, the attendance almost doubled over last night! The government minister of religion attended two of the evening meetings this week. It is an epic event in this region that has gotten lots of attention. The services are being broadcasted on the radio. It seems

with him to receive Jesus one-on-one at the end of the meeting. What a wonderful testimony. A local witchdoctor healed and saved – one of the many thousands of lives touched this week. Our next Gospel Crusade will be in Lagos, Nigeria. It is Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s “Farewell Crusade” in Africa. We are expecting a massive attendance, and I am believing that it will be the beginning of a whole new season of super massive crusades in West Africa. Please pray for that event. There is so much work to be done. Thank you for praying for us and supporting us. Heaven is rejoicing.

everyone has heard of what is going on. In the final meeting, many thousands accepted Christ and many wonderful miracles took place including several cripples and paralytics that were totally

healed. The miracles were far too many to mention. One of the local leaders brought his father to me last night for prayer. He was crippled. I prayed for him and Jesus touched him. Today, the son told

me that his father is actually a local witchdoctor. He was healed, but still had not accepted Christ. I asked him to bring the father back tonight so I could speak with him. I had the chance to pray

Demonized hater Destroys 10 Commandments Monument “A man yelled ‘Freedom!’ as he crashed his vehicle into Arkansas’ new Ten Commandments monument early Wednesday, nearly three years after he was arrested in the destruction of Oklahoma’s monument at its state Capitol, authorities said,” reports AP. “The privately funded Arkansas monument had been in place outside the state Capitol in Little Rock for less than 24 hours before it was knocked from its plinth and smashed to pieces. “Michael Tate Reed, 32, of Van Buren, Arkansas, was booked in the Pulaski County jail shortly after 7:30 a.m. on preliminary charges of defacing objects of public interest, criminal trespass and first-degree

Christian Soldier Ordered: “You Must Get Transgender Training”

“On June 23, 2017, the 304 Military Police Battalion, which is part of the Army Reserves, directed soldiers to attend a mandatory ‘Transgender Policy Briefing,’” reports WND.com. “There are several soldiers from the unit who identify as Christians and believe homosexuality is a sin condemned in the Bible (Genesis 19:1-28; Leviticus 20:13; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Jude 7-8). “One of the Christian soldiers sought counsel from the 304 Military Police Battalion chaplain (Capt. Paige K Kote’s Testimony from homeless streets of heroin addiction to life in Christ

the future is brighter than ever. I give all thanks to God and the Lovelady Center that helped me. Once about two years after my daughter was born, I Overdosed and woke up in Huntsville Hospital with tubes down my throat because I had been unable to breathe on my own. Angry with myself, I did not even know who I was anymore. Destined to repeat my past I was driven by the devil and overdosed 12 more times, but by God’s grace resuscitated each time. It was at Crestwood Hospital where I begged for my life to just be over, I was so miserable. I needed a change and begged for one to happen. God is so faithful and good. Soon after that, on July 25th I was arrested by Officer

Heather Wilson for three felony possession charges. I was facing 3 to 7 years in prison. The Lord intervened as He was directing my steps without my knowledge at the time, and the court offered me another option, The Lovelady Rehabilitation Center. Honestly, I did not want to go there since I had no knowledge of God nor did I want anything to do with Him since I did not yet know Him. It was two months in the county jail before I was transferred to the Lovelady Center. Once there I observed all the ladies and how God was working in their lives. Over time, He gave me understanding that He was not wanting to judge me, but to love me, and help me. Oh how I wanted what I was see-

ing in all the others there. Slowly I began to surrender everything to Him and He has saved my life. Thank you Lord, thank you Lovelady Center and thank you Officer Wilson. Having been in and out of jail 7 times in the process, this time I have found real deliverance and victory in Jesus. I have been sober and clean for eleven months and graduated from the Lovelady Center’s program where I am now employed in the graphics department. Officer Wilson was invited to my graduation and I am now able to see my daughter anytime. The meaning of John 8.36 applies to me. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8.36. There is hope for the addict, I am the proof. There is hope for the homeless, the rejected, the downtrodden, the seemingly rubbish of society, I am the proof of that changed life. Thank you Jesus! +++

Christians in Mindanao mostly unaffected by violence in Marawi

By REAGAN HOEZEE

Philippines (MNN) — The Filipino military declared a brief ceasefire one Sunday, allowing Muslims to peacefully celebrate the end of Ramadan. The lull in the fighting also allowed for the rescue of six civilians trapped in the city of Marawi. Government forces are forging progress toward peace, but it’s slow-going. Earlier last week, about 200 suspected members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) took hostages and holed up for hours inside a school, then took five civilians with them after fleeing. Some say the attack could be a diversion for the Islamic State to gain more ground in Marawi. “That is a common perception because the BIFF is sympathetic to the radical group,” says Herman Moldez with Asian Access, an organization that trains and equips Christian leaders throughout Asia. “In fact, there had been some effort for reinforcement coming from Salou and these areas, and so one of the reasons for the declaration of martial [law] of the entire [island of] Mindanao is for the military to be able to respond quickly

and not to complicate the whole matter in Marawi City.” Moldez recently visited Zamboanga City on the island of Mindanao. He says that for the most part, violence isn’t affecting Christians or impeding their efforts in spreading the Gospel. “It’s very, very safe. Christian communities are very safe. [The violence] is only in Marawi City, really,” Moldez says. “They feel safe because the military is just there to protect and to monitor people coming in and going out. “It’s not interfering, because they are minorities, and they’re up on the mountains. So we are not yet feeling or experiencing what ISIS is doing in other countries.” They may be safe for now, but Moldez says it would

be unwise for Christians to let down their guard. “The previous government tended to deny the presence of the ISIS in the Philippines, but it’s beginning to come out that they have been operating for quite a while and have gained influence, especially through some of the young people,” Moldez says. Can you come alongside this country with your prayers? Moldez asks that you pray that situations like the BIFF school attack would not be repeated and the government would respond quickly to violence. Pray also for safety and quick recovery for those affected by the violence. Mission Network News c/o OneWay Ministries 4170 Ogden Ave Aurora IL 60504 USA Website: www.mnnonline.org

20 million people are trapped in human trafficking, victims of unthinkable child sex tragedies By Michael Ireland

WASHINGTON, D.C. (ANS – July 1, 2017) -- “Human trafficking is as old as humankind. Regrettably, it’s been with us for centuries and centuries,” said U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson before releasing the 2017 Trafficking in Persons Report earlier this week. “Regrettably, our challenge is enormous,” Tillerson said, adding: “Today, globally, it’s estimated that there are 20 million victims of human trafficking. So, clearly, we have a lot of work to do and governments around the world have a lot of work to do.” Secretary Tillerson said the North Korean regime receives hundreds of millions of dollars per year from the fruits of forced labor. “Responsible nations simply cannot allow this to go on, and we continue to call on any nation that is hosting workers from North Korea in a forced labor arrangement to send those people home. Responsible nations also must take further action. China was downgraded to Tier Three status in this year’s report in part because it has not

Also present at the report launch event was Advisor to the President of the United States, Ivanka Trump, who said: “Human trafficking is a pervasive human rights issue affecting millions, no matter their gender, age, or nationality. It is often a profoundly secret crime. “One of the greatest challenges is to merely identify those trapped in modern slavery. Even conservative estimates conclude that some 20 million people around the world, including right here in the United States, are trapped in human trafficking situations, terrible circumstances of exploitation, including so many young girls and boys who are victims of unthinkable trage-

dy of child sex trafficking.” Ms. Trump said this year’s report “emphasizes the responsibility all governments have to prosecute human traffickers. It also provides an opportunity for countries to see how others are fighting human trafficking and to adopt the most effective strategies and tactics, while renewing their own resolve in this struggle.” Ms. Trump said that here in the United States, we have our own Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, comprised exclusively of survivors. “We cannot meaningfully address this pervasive issue without the brave voice of survivors at the table. MONTGOMERY, Ala., June, 2017 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Foundation for Moral Law applauded the Texas Supreme Court’s decision today in Pidgeon v. Turner, which declined to extend benefits afforded to heterosexual married couples to same-sex pairings contrary to Texas law. The legal issue in Pidgeon was whether the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges should be applied narrowly-limited to the issue of marriage licenses-or broadly, affecting spousal benefits associated with marriage. The Texas Supreme Court declined to hold that Obergefell automatically required the state to extend its benefits to same-sex pairings. The court remanded the lawsuit to the trial court for

further proceedings. Along with the Institute for Creation Research, the Foundation filed an amicus brief urging the Texas Supreme Court to reject Obergefell altogether as having no basis in the Constitution. In its opinion the Texas Supreme Court acknowledged the filing of the Foundation’s amicus brief. Foundation President Kayla Moore said: “The Texas Supreme Court demonstrated the critical thinking needed to see the difference between Obergefell and the case before it, as well as the courage to follow the law instead of bowing to political correctness. A Dead Body Resurrected by the Word of the Lord’s Servant

WASHINGTON, June 27, 2017 /Christian Newswire/ -- On June 21, 2017, Pastor Rosa of West Pokot, Kenya, was extremely ill. Her husband, Pastor Samson, sent a message to the local church about the situation. At midnight, it was getting worse so he sent a prayer request via SMS to the Prophet of the LORD, Dr. David Owuor. Not soon after, he received news from home that his wife passed on. The daughter said that Pastor Rosa stretched her whole body, relieved herself, and died. Consequently, the body had stiffened and became colder with no pulse or heartbeat. She died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2017. The grieving family began to wail loudly. Upon hearing the sounds, the neighbors came to their home and found Rosa’s body covered with a blanket. They confirmed that she was actually dead, and immediately joined the family in wailing and mourning.

Thereafter, a message of reply from the prophet of the LORD was received at the local church and it said,

A Game-Changing New Course for the Pro-Life Movement

STERLING, Va., July 1, 2017 /Christian Newswire/ -- Care Net has launched Pro-Life 101: A Free Online Course, a first-of-itskind course that will equip pro-life people to turn their passion into action. The new course is designed for those who have thought that there has to be more they can do to move the cause of life forward. They may have participated in a march, cast their vote for a prolife candidate, signed a petition, and written to their Congressional representative, but still feel like something is missing in their efforts to end abortion. Unfortunately, while prolife people have marched and called for an end to abortion for more than 40 years, there has been no widely available training on how to be effective in cultural transformation on this vital issue. Accordingly, Pro-Life

101 will renew pro-lifers’ dedication to protecting unborn life, equip them to engage with a pro-abortion culture, and most importantly, train them to show compassion to those at risk for abortion. Inspired by Care Net’s groundbreaking Making Life Disciples course, each 15-minute session of Pro-Life 101 features knowledge learned from Care Net’s more than 40 years of serving women and men at over 1,100 affiliated pregnancy centers across North America. Our experts will teach you how to turn your prolife passion into action through the following six sessions:

When faced with such a monumental task of ending abortion, the two main questions we can ask are, “What will we do?” and “Who is going to do it?” Pro-Life 101 gives new Session 1: The History of answers to these questions by tapping into an enorAbortion in America mous underused resource: Session 2: Spiritual Conregular, pro-life citizens sequences of Abortion seeking to take action. THOMSON, Ill., June, 2017 /Christian Newswire/ -- Facebook has rejected a new family-friendly Fourth of July video that recounts America’s Christian heritage, because it doesn’t follow the company’s “advertising policies for advertising adult products or services.” The short animated video, produced by Heirloom Audio Productions founder Bill Heid, warns that the nation’s future depends on returning to “God’s revealed Word.” The video is called “The Lost Secrets of Liberty.” Heirloom Audio was set to launch an advertising campaign for the video on Facebook when the social media giant sent notice Wednesday that the ad was not approved due to “images or videos that show nudity or cleavage.” Although the Facebook message didn’t specify the problem, Heid assumed it was due to a non-graphic image of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel painting included in the video. “I applaud Facebook for having standards,” Heid said. “However, I’m also deeply saddened by the tragic and unjustified banning of our new fam-

ily-friendly Christian production. I created this Independence Day video for parents to watch with their kids so they could discuss the origins of America’s liberty.” Heirloom Audio submitted an appeal to Facebook, but as of Thursday afternoon the company declined to comment or respond to the appeal. The video can be viewed or downloaded for free at TheLostSecretsOfLiberty.com. A license is not needed to show it in public. In the video, Heid discussed the meaning of “liberty” from the perspective of the Founding Fathers. He also recounts little-known facts about America’s Christian heri-

tage, such as: • Ethan Allen demanding the surrender of the British at Fort Ticonderoga “in the name of the Great Jehovah and the Continental Congress.” • John Adams declaring that the centralization of religion had as much to do with American independence as did taxation without representation. • Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin promoting a scene out of the book of Exodus as the national seal. “While we’re still free, and while we’ve still got time,” Heid said, “we’ve got to teach the next generation that our country can only be protected from tyranny, moral relativism and anarchy by finding the very context for freedom

ledge that defines the abortion problem and delivers a set of solutions that they can put into practice immediately. For too long, pro-life people were only given the option to march in a rally or elect a candidate. As important as these activities are, they are not enough if we want to transform our culture from one of death to abundant life. A few years ago, Care Net changed its vision state ment to read, “Care Net envisions a culture where women and men faced itself - found in God’s revealed Word.” Heirloom Audio Productions, which was founded by Heid, produces audio adventures that bring Christian heroes from history to life. The company won three Voice Arts Awards last year, including Outstanding Production, for The Dragon And The Raven, which chronicles how King Alfred the Great (849-899) led an army that beat the barbaric Vikings, saved the English lands and brought the country back to God. It starred Helen George (Call The Midwife), John Rhys-Davies (The Lord Of The Rings, Indiana Jones), Sylvester McCoy (DoctorWho, The Hobbit), John Bell (The Hobbit), Brian Blessed (Star Wars, Tarzan, King Lear) and Katherine Kellgren (award-winning narrator). Heirloom Audio just released its eighth CD, Captain Bayley’s Heir, which follows a story about the California gold rush. The company’s CDs feature top actors and actresses, along with original musical scores and sound effects. Each drama includes two CDs and spans more than two hours. Five common short-term mission trip mistakes

BRADENTON FLORIDA | FREE - Donations Welcome!

BY ALEX ANHALT

International (MNN/E3P) — Heading overseas into the mission field full-time isn’t something everyone can do. That’s what makes short-term mission trips so appealing — they give you a taste of a foreign culture, an opportunity to work hands-on with the Gospel, and a chance to follow the Great Commission all in the space of a few weeks or months. The problem is some travelers don’t always plan ahead for those trips, and even if they have good intentions, that can cause serious problems for them and the people they’re serving. As Matt Morrison of e3 Partnersputs it, “There really is a value in missions trips, what it does for us here and for those people who are going, as well as for people who you’re there to serve. It’s just important to be doing it right.” Just because a trip is short doesn’t mean it won’t require a lot of planning. Without precautions, Mo-

rrison says short-term trips can be extremely dangerous, and not just for security reasons. “There are things we can do in trying to minister to other people that, while it looks like helping, what you’re actually doing is crippling them,” Morrison says. That’s why Morrison posted a list of five mistakes you don’t want to make on short-term mission trips. (The original list can be accessed at this link:

pport, but sometimes the attention can go too far. “All of that comes together to make you think, ‘Wow, I’m doing something really big; I’m doing something really cool,’” says Morrison. “In reality you are. You’re living out the Great Commission, and there’s something really exciting about that, but the problem is it can go to our heads sometimes.” That can cause problems for two reasons. First, get-

ting excited about our own work takes the power away from God. It’s through Him that any of that work is possible, and it can be easy to lose sight of that when we turn ourselves into the hero. Second, “If we’re the heroes then the people we’re serving must be the victims, and if we start treating people like victims, they’re going to start believing they’re the victims.” Morrison says that strips the people we’re serving of their dignity and makes them feel help-

less. When people are helpless, they look for a higher power, and when we think we’re the hero, that higher power is us, not God. 2. Teaching people to do things the American way Morrison says when we’re running a business or attending church we often don’t realize how much our own culture has influenced the way we do those things. “We’re all created in the image of God, but we’re also so wildly different in our different cultures,” Morrison says. “It’s amazing how the diversity of the human race shows the intricacies and the complexities of God himself.” And setting up something to work the way it does back home takes away from that diversity. If we teach people to do things our way, they lose the chance to learn how to do it their own way. “Our job is not to teach them to look like the same Christian we are, but to really be a follower of Christ in their own culture,” Morrison says. 3. Thinking they’re helpless The fact that we’re the ones traveling across oceans to serve doesn’t make the people we’re serving helpless. Servitude is about humility, and if we look down on the men and women we’re there to help, we deprive them of the dignity .. Continuation on Page: 8

“Read your Bible, scare hell out of YOU.”

By Madeline Duffan y Dear Reverend: Are angels real? I need to know because my aunt keeps telling me it is true. There is an article in a popular magazine every month about angels. People see them in cloud formations and elsewhere. The thing is, the person who writes that column says she can predict the future, and that angels do this and that for us. Skeptical ----Dear Skeptical, Forget about that column you are reading. It sounds more like witchcraft and not a true source of knowledge. Did you know that for every question you may have, the answer can be found in God’s Word? “God is not a man that He should lie.” Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18. Believe only what is written in God’s Word! Let’s research some other Scriptures.

The Spirit Of Truth

Genesis 19:1-13 says angels appeared to Lot when his life and the lives of family members were threatened by judgement that would be visited upon Sodom and Gomorrah. An angel went before Abraham’s servant as he traveled to a far country to find a suitable wife for Isaac. Genesis 24:7 An angel spoke to Moses from a burning bush. Acts 7:30 Jacob had a dream of angels ascending and descending from the presence of God. Genesis 28:12 An angel appeared to Gideon in battle. Judges 6:11-24 An angel delivered the three Hebrew children from the fiery furnace. Daniel 3:28 God sent an angel to shut the mouths of lions so they would not hurt Daniel when the king cast them into their den. Daniel 6:22

they deserve and the respect we should be giving them. “One of the things I encourage people to do is look for what you can learn from the people you’re there to serve,” says Morrison. “You’ll be amazed at what they can teach you about God and you’ll be amazed at what they can teach you about yourself.” 4. Making it about us There’s nothing wrong with documenting our time serving God and His flock, but when we share every moment on Instagram or log every second of our experience on social media, our mission trip becomes “religious tourism”, Morrison says. “You don’t have to feel useful, productive, or warm and fuzzy inside to accomplish what God wants to do through you,” Morrison says. “God’s entire plan for you could revolve around a single conversation or interaction on your trip.” That can only hap-

pen when we surrender ourselves to Him for the entire trip. 5. Handing out money In many countries, the conversion rate from U.S. dollars into local money is extremely high. One US dollar is worth four Romanian leu, 18 Mexican pesos, and 60 Russian rubles. That means when we hand out money, we’re passing out more than we think we are. Morrison says that much money can be corrupting and work against everything the organization you’re traveling with has already done. If people think they can get money from visiting Americans, some of them will start saying and doing anything you ask until they get paid, including pretending to convert to Christ. It’s hard to help people who are lying and sacrificing a longterm solution for a shortterm need. If you really have a heart to give, talk to your group leaders. Morrison says

The ministry of angels did not end with the Old Testament. Angels played a prominent role in the events leading up to the birth of both Jesus and John the Baptist. Matthew 1:20,24; Luke 1:11-23,2638. My husband and I have seen angels and have felt their presence many times. Angels are very real and are always doing spiritual battle on our behalf. God’s Word is exciting! Look into it and discover answers to this question and to many others! This is God’s Truth! Rev. Overall, “Follow the direction of your leader,” advises Morrison. “Follow what they say. They know what they’re doing, they’ve done this before, and they can help you make the right decisions while you’re over there.” All of these guidelines, warnings, and regulations can be intimidating, but that’s why Morrison says every trip should start with surrendering to God. “Don’t think that just because you’ve never done this and you don’t have the experience that God can’t use you,” Morrison says. “God kind of specializes in using the people that have no idea what they’re doing.” Mission Network News c/o OneWay Ministries 4170 Ogden Ave Aurora IL 60504 USA www.mnnonline.org +++

Suicide Prevention is serious

I have written several articles on HOW TO’S. How to be happy, to forgive, to make good choices, but I sensed an urgency in my spirit to share a more serious subject, the WHY. The first reason why is to share with the reader the redeeming love of Christ and ways we can battle against an enemy who does not want us to succeed. The second reason why is to give tools to the readers who have a heart to help others in their struggles with their Christian walk. And the third reason why is to show ways to help us from going so deeply into depression that we want to end it all. I call it suicide

By Paula Struble Joshua 1:4 – God said to Joshua “From the wilderness and this Lebanon to the great river Euphrates – all the land of (Canaan) and to the Great Mediterranean Sea on the west shall be your territory. It was divided up (boundaries) as an inheritance to the 12 tribes of Israel. Each tribe had boundaries. God is in Boarders. Nehemiah repaired the walls of Jerusalem. A country with open boarders (no boarders) cannot survive. We are a nation of laws with a Declaration of Independence and a Constitution. Romans 13:1-4 says, “Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God (by His permission), and those

prevention. Each month I ask the Holy Spirit for a topic that would reach those who may need it the most and yet be helpful to us all. The topic this month on suicide prevention is a serious one, but I hope it will help us recognize warning signs in ourselves or others and realize the importance in seeking help from a professional, a pastor, or calling a local Suicide Prevention Hotline. Suicide is a destructive and permanent reaction to a mood. The mood itself is treatable, but the outcome of suicide is not and plays perfectly into Satan’s hands. He wants us to re

ject the life God gave us or if we do not know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, he wants us to die that way. Unsaved. But knowing all of this is not enough and we still can be at risk for a suicide attempt. Are you at risk? Only you know. Following is a checklist of a few points that can help you see if you are at risk and need help. TALKING ABOUT IT – Talking about committing suicide to a friend or a relative may help you and you could be less likely to go through with it. But it took a long time for you to get to the point of thinking

that exist do so by God’s appointment. Therefore, he who resists and sets himself up against the authorities resists what God has appointed and arranged (in divine order). And those who resist will bring down judgment upon themselves (receiving the penalty due them). For civil authorities are not a terror to people of good conduct but to those of bad behavior. My question is this, “Why are people, who come here illegally; by breaking into our homeland, afforded the same rights as legal citizens, with health care, welfare, drivers licenses, free schooling and, yes, in some instances even voting? What honor or value is there in being a citizen of the U.S. if people, who are illegal, are afforded the

Those contemplating taking their own lives usually do not want the act to be ignored. They want to believe that those around them will have a profound reaction, and they will be right! It is time to seek help right away! ATTEMPTED SUICIDE – If you have attempted suicide and failed, and are truly disappointed for the failure, you need treatment. Remember, people in a depressed mood or have a roller coaster of mood swings like manic highs and lows may not see the truth that it is not a permanent condition. Moods will pass. You do not have to stop breathing to achieve relief. Besides therapy and or medications we also, as Christians have the Bible to help us understand the attacks of

about it compared to the few minutes with a friend or relative, therefore still consider it a problem and pursue help. The issues leading up to this strong emotion needs even stronger professional help. THINKING ABOUT IT If the idea of death is far better than any hope you might have for the future, then you need to seek professional help. CHOOSING A METHOD - Suicide requires a way to take your life. If you find yourself choosing one based on availability, how you will be found, pain, etc. then you are closer to it then you might think. Seek professional help. COMPOSING A SUICIDE NOTE - If you composed a suicide note either in your head or on paper, you are at risk. Only 10 – 15 percent of suicide victims leave a note. The ones that do are wanting to explain clearly why so no one misinterprets his/her reasons. Have you written one, or have you thought what one might say? Have you gone through the trouble of choosing just

an enemy who hates us and wants to see us end our lives on earth. We also have scripture and great biblical accounts of many people suffering from many types of pain both physical and emotional and yet still loved God and the life He gave them. King David was one with horrible mood swings and he wrote Ps. 139. He realized that we are a wonderful work of God and he does not make mistakes! There is also Jesus who allowed himself to die on the cross because of His love for you and His desire for you to be with Him in eternity, Romans 8:32. U.S. student dies shortly after medical evacuation from North Korean custody BY LYNDSEY KOH

North Korea (MNN) — Otto Warmbier, the American student who was detained in North Korea for 17 months and medically evacuated last week in a coma, passed away on Monday. North Korea arrested Warmbier in January 2016 as he was leaving the country with a tourist group. They accused him of attempting to steal a propaganda poster and sentenced the 22-year-old to 15 years of hard labor. North Korean authorities report that shortly following Warmbier’s sentencing, he slipped into a coma after he was given a sleeping pill for botulism, a kind of food poisoning. Doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center found no evidence of botulism, but they say he did have extensive brain damage possibly caused by oxygen deprivation. What message does this send from North Korea to the rest of the world? Todd Nettleton with Voice of the Martyrs USA reflects, “I think it sends the message of a complete disrespect for the United States of America, a complete disrespect for even human decency and the rule of law, and it could bring about a chill in relations between our two countries. And again, saying it could bring about a chill, there already is very little communication, very little relationship there. It’s hard to know how the U.S. will respond.” In a statement from Warmbier’s family, they share, “Unfortunately, the awful torturous mistreatment our son received at the hands of the North Koreans ensured that no other outcome was possible beyond the sad one we experienced today.”

Otto Warmbier on trial in North Korea. Republican Sen. John Mc Cain stated Warmbier’s death constituted “murder” at the hands of North Korea, and President Trump and other Washington lawmakers condemned the North Korean regime for its brutality. Nettleton says, “I tend to agree with Senator John McCain who issued a statement saying the United States of America cannot and should not tolerate the murder of its citizens by hostile powers. It will be interesting to see how the Trump Administration and the State Department responds to this situation.” If this is what happens to U.S. citizens in North Korean custody, Nettleton asks, what happens to North Korean citizens and Christians who simply disappear? “It really shows the complete lack of respect for human life that the North Korean government has, and the fact that this would happen to an American, we can probably not even imagine the hardship and the suffering of North Koreans who are in those political prisoner camps [and] have been declared enemies of the North Korean government, enemies of the North Korean people. Their treatment is every bit as bad as Otto

Warmbier’s and probably worse.” North Korea, a totalitarian communist nation, goes to great lengths to control anything they view as a threat to Communism or the state. This also means Christians in North Korea are heavily targeted. “Some estimate [there are] 100,000 believers, some estimate more than that. Many of those are in those camps and they are suffering. But they have hope. We have the hope of eternity with Christ.” Nettleton says Warmbier’s case reminds him of another detainee situation in North Korea. John Short, a 75-year-old Australian Christian, was arrested in North Korea in 2013 after leaving Gospel tracts near a Buddhist temple. Nettleton says, “I had the chance to interview [Short] and I’ve been reminded of his experiences this week, and that interview is available on our VOM Radio podcast. So those who are wanting to know more about North Korea, I would just encourage them to look into that. Hearing John’s story, I think, has a lot of resonance this week as we pray for Otto’s family and as we hear about his death.” As for praying for the ges of hypocrisy when groups like ours denounce the denial of religious freedom abroad – a freedom which must include the right not to prac tice religion.” said Richard Stursberg, President of PEN Canada. PEN Canada Supports Repeal of Blasphemy Law

TORONTO, June, 2017 / CNW/ - PEN Canada today announced its support for the federal government’s decision to repeal Section 296 (blasphemous libel) of the Canadian Criminal Code. Last used in 1935, the law treats blasphemy as an indictable offence punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years.

End Times Prophecy Degree Program Offered Exclusively Through Luder Wycliffe Theological Seminary

ENDICOTT, N.Y., June 28, 2017 /Christian Newswire/ -- This world’s first End Times Seminary Degree program by Luder Wycliffe Theological Seminary, has begun a new era in theological training. Birthed in the category of theology, eschatology has grown to such a point that it really does require a larger space of academic freedom. LWTS is currently the only theological school in the world to offer a degree program in the field of of Biblical End Time Prophecy (Eschatology).

This course work is offered at both the Master and Doctoral levels. The Bachelor of Eschatology Degree Program will also be available soon. Since there are several different views concerning the end time events surrounding biblical prophecy, students that enroll at LWTS for the eschatology degree program will learn every angle of each position and thereby receive a very balanced and overall snap shot of eschatological teaching, regardless of their current view. LWTS offers one of the

most in-depth and ministry focused learning systems available by any online religious institution. Its studies constitute both a mixture of online and physical textbooks as well as completely offline and paper based course work for those who prefer the traditional methods. LWTS also offers one-onone mentorship with their studies. A segment of the overall list of the courses include: Biblical Eschatology, Comparative Eschatology, Eschatological Hermeneutics, Prophetic Literature,

Literary Eschatolo gy, OT Typology, Historical Eschatology and much more. The syllabus also includes a 7,000 word thesis for the Master level and 15,000 for the Doc toral level. The Eschatology De gree will help strengthen the student in many ways, which include pastoral preaching, scholarly writing on the subject, competence in eschatological apologetics, teaching eschatology at a graduate level and more. “Having a degree in eschatology has been long overdue, and I’m surprised no other school has ever thought of it. The appetite and need for this subject is there, so therefore must be the demand.” said Jack Nelson, D. Min., president and founder To know more, please visit: www.luderwycliffe.com

Scarred for life: the 4-year-old children who survived Indonesian church attack

Prayer requests for the mission SEAR: (South-East Asian Relief)

Pray for 18 year old Thien Tran, who is here in Florida for jaw surgery. He saw the surgeon the 21st of June and we will know more soon about when Thien will be able to have his surgery. Please pray about the new situation in Viet-Nam...... The police in Da Nang city, have come to SEAR staff and said SEAR can no longer bring boys and girls to church. SEAR has done this for 24 years, as it is only basically legal, to only talk about the Bible and the Lord Jesus inside a church building. Pray for Mr. Rex, SEAR Director of Ministry, as he cannot enter Viet-nam until Thien has his surgery, and is stabilized. Pray for all that needs to be done to help youth and children, this Summer and

Fall, locally and in Viet-Nam. $40,000 usd is the cost of mission support to do the following in Viet-Nam, June, July, August and September of 2017: A. mention Intan’s name. Trinity’s mother, Sarinah, added: she wanted to set an example for the other church members by forgiving the perpetrator. She said: “I don’t have any hatred towards the bomber. I forgave him already. The most important thing is for my daughter to recover well.” Other children at the church have also been left badly shaken by the attack. They hide and cower whenever they hear sounds similar to the explosion. A Sunday-school teacher at the church, Naomi Sagala, 24, explained: “A few weeks after the blast, I was surprised when our kids start to shout, ‘Shoot the

bomber’, when they talked about the incident … with each other. “We had to redirect them to what the Bible teaches about loving our enemies, loving the bad guys, even the bomber. We must forgive and pray that they will repent. To be honest, even adults are finding it difficult to do this. But we believe in God and in the power of His Word to heal, so we keep teaching this to our kids.” Please pray for these children and families, who have been scarred for life, that they may also receive emotional and psychological healing. SAMARINDA, EAST BORNEO (ANS – June, 2017) -- Two-year-old Anita Sihotang cannot bear the sound of her father’s motorbike because it reminds her of the noise of the explosion last November, when a petrol bomb was thrown into a church park where children were playing, killing one child and seriously injuring Anita and two four-year-olds. Whenever her father turns the key in the ignition, she runs away. “It was so heartbreaking to see them on that dreadful night,” recalls Anita’s father, Jackson. “We felt so powerless,” he said in an article circulated by World Watch Monitor (www. worldwatchmonitor.org) Anita, and four-yearolds Alvaro Sinaga and Trinity Hutahaean, had been playing after Sunday school in the grounds of their church in Samarinda, East Borneo, on November 13, 2016. The suspect, Juhanda bin Muhammad Aceng, reportedly threw the bomb into the church grounds as the children waited for their parents to come out after the end of the service. He was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt with the message, “Jihad Way of Life.” A fourth young victim, two-year-old Intan Banjarnahor, was the most severely injured. She died the following day.

She and her husband felt unable to visit their daughter’s grave until Easter, five months after the tragedy. “I just couldn’t do it before as the pain was too much,” she said. “She [Intan] brightened up the house with her singing and never ending questions, and now she’s gone. It feels so quiet.” Traumatized, the children’s families are struggling to rebuild their lives as they come to terms with a mixture of anger and guilt, World Watch Monitor says. The father of one of the injured children was working in West Borneo, more than 1,000 miles away, when he heard that his son had been hurt in the explosion. Hotdiman, a construction consultant, reached home 26 hours later. Sarinah, the mother of the injured Trinity, was on duty as a church elder leading the Sunday service when she heard the explosion outside. She ran out, looking for her daughter. “I saw her head covered with smoke and her face black. Her body was so hot that I had to rip away her clothes,” Sarinah recalled. World Watch Monitor says all three children have been discharged from hospital, but Trinity and Alvaro, whose injuries were especially severe and complex, continue to undergo

treatment as outpatients. Alvaro suffered traumatization, as well as severe burns. His mother, Novita, said: “He is still terrified whenever he sees me cooking. He will be screaming, ‘Put the fire out, Mama!’” According to the World Watch Monitor article, the children are afraid of meeting new people and looking at things that can reflect their faces back at them, but they are learning to regain their self-esteem. In April, representatives from Indonesia’s State Agency for Witness and Victim Protection visited the victims and their families. They offered them bi-weekly trauma counselling and invited them to attend the trial of Juhanda bin Muhammad Aceng in Jakarta, which began last

month. Diana, Intan’s mother, said with a trembling voice: “I’m not going [to the court], but I hope the perpetrator will receive the proper punishment.” Recently, she gave birth to a baby girl. She had been three months pregnant when Intan died. “This baby, she cures our longing to see my late daughter,” she said, unable to

Somalia listed as number two Country where Christians are most persecuted. BY REAGAN HOEZEE

Somalia (MNN) — In parts of Somalia, bombings are becoming a near-daily occurrence. One Wednesday recently, an al-Shabaab suicide bomber drove a car into a hotel, while gunmen disguised as military officers held people hostage at an adjacent restaurant. The attack left at least 31 people dead. The group is trying to overthrow the UN-backed government, and recently declared a new offensive. Though al-Shabaab targets anyone who disagrees with its ideology, Voice of the Martyrs Canada’s Greg Musselman says Christians are especially in danger. “Attacks like the ones we’re talking about today, while maybe not directed at Christians, it still instilled fear into the whole culture beyond Christians, but specifically them because

al-Shabab has made it a part of their mandate and mission to eradicate Somalia of Christians,” Musselman says. The increase in attacks comes during Ramadan, the holy month when many Muslims strive to draw closer to God. While many do this peacefully, some see violence as their spiritual duty.

“Of course, most Muslims are peaceful about Ramadan, and they do their fasting and they just have their time of seeking Allah,” Musselman says. “But then there are those that are in these militant Islamic groups like al-Shabaab, ISIS, [and] al-Qaeda that see Ramadan as a time to please their view of God, and part of that is with violence, unfortunately. They go

through these attacks and they cause all sorts of difficulty for those that don’t go along with their ideology.”

Believers in Somalia have long faced extreme persecution. Open Doors USA lists the country at number two on its World Watch List for countries where Christians are most

persecuted. “Somalia has one of the fewest Christians in the world in numbers and also in percentage,” Musselman says. “We do know that there are believers there and they are meeting in secret, and it is very difficult for them. We have reported many stories over the years of Christians that have come from Islam… and if they leave Islam and become a Christian and it’s found out, they can be

killed.” Voice of the Martyrs Canada advocates for these believers by telling their stories, and introduces them to the Gospel through radio ministry. Musselman asks that you pray for the Christians in Somalia as they seek to practice their faith under constant threat. “I think the big thing we need to pray for is the safety of the followers of Christ,” Musselman says. “There’s not an open church, so these folks are meeting in secret in house churches. That’s how most of the Christians do it, and they have to be very careful [by meeting] in small groups, not drawing too much attention. So we need to pray that the believers in Somalia would be wise in how they gather together, not put themselves in unnecessary risk, but also be willing to share the Gospel.
