13-week old aborted baby parts and money over whether $100 per usable body part is enough, saying at one point: “Let me just figure out what others are getting, and if this is in the ballpark, then it’s fine, if it’s still low, then we can bump it up…. I want a Lamborghini.” “A Lamborghini for a life. The infinitely valuable, the priceless being traded for the temporal gain of a worthless status symbol. Yes, this is evil,” said Bentley. Iranian Christians and the Nuclear Deal Iran (MNN) — The U.S. has signed a nuclear deal with Iran. Now, it just needs Congress’ approval. The world is talking politics, but what would this mean for Iranian Christians? The deal doesn’t directly put Christians in danger, but in a country where nearly all Christian activity is illegal, the doors for persecution would be wide-open. “This deal clearly seems to strengthen the Iranian government, to give them more of a position of strength within their own country,” says Todd Nettleton of Voice of the Martyrs. “Putting them in a stronger position internally in Iran likely means that they will have more ability and more opportunity to persecute Christians because we know that they are very strongly opposed to the gospel; they’re opposed to the growth of the

Knoxville, TN — “Few stories so clearly illustrate the Biblical truth that ‘the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil’ (I Timothy 6:10) than the controversy that has exploded following the release of undercover videos from the Center for Medical Progress in which Planned Parenthood doctors talk about dismembering unborn children to sell tissue and body parts,” observed Crown CEO Chuck Bentley in a national column. Bentley wrote: “The mindset that can embrace the sale of the hearts, lungs, limbs, livers and tiny humanity of the unborn begins with rejecting the authority of God who declared every life to be precious. That purposeful and intricate miracle that brings about life is beautifully described in Psalm 139: ‘For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.’” Contrast that view with the video footage of Planned Parenthood Federation of America's Senior Director of Medical Services Dr. Deborah Nucatola detailing a ‘menu’ of aborted baby hearts, lungs and livers that she can make available for buyers. Or consider President of the Planned Parenthood Medical Council Dr. Mary Gatter saying that they can alter the way that unborn lives are ended to a ‘less crunchy technique’ to get more whole specimens for sale, as she haggles

church,” Nettleton adds. “Anything that strengthens the government strengthens a body that persecutes our brothers and sisters.” Despite the hostility, however, Christianity in Iran is thriving. And based on the way Christians have stood strong in the face of violence and injustice in the past, the effects of the nuclear deal shouldn’t squelch their faith.

Do the Work of an Evangelist 2 Timothy 4:5

By Gayle O’Connor Rural Georgia (Fall 2009) — On the front porch of the old cabin, the beautiful fall morning started out with wonderful cups of hot coffee and prayer. The evangelist says to his wife, “We need to pray for God to prepare the hearts of the people that we will reach with the gospel today”. She smiles and takes his hand and for those moments all other concerns are laid aside for something that is much more important. Within the hour the old car is filled with Bibles and children’s coloring books and crayons, all with pictures of Jesus that little hands will work diligently to make beautiful while little minds are soaking in the stories of this man, the God man called Jesus. And the Bibles, God’s road map for life, the Word of God. So many people have never had one. They have a phone but no Bible. Hmmm. Isn’t there something wrong with that picture? As they head down the mountain on the old dirt road the evangelist ask his wife, “Where shall we go today, my dear”? He knows the Spirit always directs her and he trusts her, but even more he trusts the Spirit. After about 15 minutes of driving, a destination is reached. It is a beautiful crisp, sunny day and the area seems to be very quiet and safe. A parking lot for the complex is located in the center allowing access to all the living spaces. Deciding the car would be safe and easily accessible, they set out together to knock on doors. As always, some people come to their doors but others do not. Where no one answers a tract is left for them telling them the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and how they can be saved. That day seemed to be a day of reassurance of salvation for some, planting seeds with others. “Well, we are almost back where we started”, said the wife to the evangelist. Looking at the last door they would knock on, the evangelist said, “Not one soul saved today”. It is always sad and somewhat discouraging to think of how many will die lost and spend eternity in the place the bible calls hell and you’ve not been able to reach even one. As they reach the last door the evangelist knocks and a voice from inside yells, “Come on in”. As he slowly opens the door they see two young men, probably in their early twenties. “Come on in”, one of them said. The evangelist proceeded to introduce himself and his wife, as a repairman swiftly whisks by them hardly noticing that they’re there. As he lets the screen door slam the evangelist’s wife thinks, oh dear, this is going to be a distraction. The evangelist is not easily distracted. He is there for one reason and one reason only. And that is to find out if they are saved and if not, to give them the gospel so they can be saved. The evangelist learns very quickly that they are not

Gayle O’Connor saved and they have never heard the gospel. In fact, they don’t even know what the gospel is. He begins to explain to them who the Savior is, why we all need a Savior, and how to accept the Savior. All the while the repairman is going in and out as he’s working on something down the hallway, beating and banging and drilling. I’m praying God please hold these men’s attention and let your Spirit deal with their hearts so they can be saved. Please don’t let all this noise keep them from listening. As the evangelist reached the place where he asks them, now with that said, would you like to ask Jesus to come into your hearts and save you? As both of the young men said YES, low and behold, the noisy repairman came running down the hallway and said in a loud southern drawl, “I’ll get in on that”! Praise God!! He was listening all the time and the Holy Spirit was dealing with his heart. No wonder he was running in and out and making noise. He came there to work on something but Praise God, he got worked on instead. So all three of the men received the gospel, they held each other’s hands as they asked to be forgiven of their sins, and accepted Jesus as their Savior. Now the remarkable thing about this story is that this rural town in Georgia is, except for the schools, still very much segregated. It’s like stepping back in time to the 50s and early 60s. I don’t know that it will ever change. We were not accepted very well because, as Evangelists and Christians we only see souls. The two young men were black and the repairman was a white man. Only God could have brought them together for salvation that day. What a Day!! GOD IS GREAT, GOD IS GOOD, LET US THANK HIM. He is mighty to save!! AMEN? Proverbs 11:30 the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise. Have you shared Jesus with anyone this week? — The Evangelist
