Making Coronavirus Vaccine Using Cells From Aborted Babies

Multiple possible coronavirus vaccines that are on a fast track for development as the world awaits a vaccine to deal with the international pandemic.

But one of the COVID-19 vaccines that is receiving the most attention is also the most controversial because it relies on cells from the body part of an aborted baby.

Despite a strong outcry from pro-life and Catholic leaders and despite ethical

alternatives being available, a number of research teams still are using the cells from aborted babies in their work.

These include Janssen Research & Development USA, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, and the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca, which could be the first to make a coronavirus vaccine available in the United States.

The Oxford/AstraZeneca team appears to be in first place in the vaccine race and doses of the vaccine were given to 1,077 healthy adults aged between 18 and 55 in five UK hospitals in April and May as part of phase one of the clinical trial. A new paper published in The Lancet medical journal revealed the vaccine appears safe and induces a strong immune response following the first phase of human trials. It also appears to be helping the human body make antibodies by the body’s B cells, which is very helpful in staving off the virus in the future.

But the vaccine is not without ethical concerns.

The team at Oxford University is developing the vaccine using the HEK 293 cell-line. This cellline was originally created from tissue taken from the kidney of an unborn

child probably aborted in 1972.

Dr Anthony McCarty, a pro-life physician in the UK, spoke out about the moral concerns.

“For those of us who see the original abortion as the unjustified taking of the life of the unborn child, such use of the products of abortion, even a cell line derived from the original tissue, risks sending out a harmful social message concerning the value of early human life,” he said.

Dr McCarthy added: “Even those not opposed to all abortion may well have serious and substantial moral concerns over practices which seem to treat opportunistically the remains of an aborted unborn child.

Society needs to respect the consciences of its members who uphold the inviolability of human life from conception and who do not wish to be involved in anything they may see as complicit with the unjust taking of such life.”

Pastor Slams Government Lockdowns: “I Will Go to Jail Before I Close My Church”

Pastors across America are speaking out against coronavirus orders that restrict religious gatherings, supposedly for safety reasons, while allowing huge protests to continue, casinos to open and abortion facilities to continue to kill unborn babies in elective abortions.

Last week, Tennessee pastor Greg Locke said he would rather go to jail than close his church, Global Vision Bible Church, the Washington Examiner reports.

“Churches should be open,” Locke said.

“There should be no excuses. I will go to jail before I close my church.”

He said he refuses to “live in constant fear and media hysteria,” and he will not stop holding services because of the co-

ronavirus crisis.

The pastor also shared a popular July sermon by Pastor John MacArthur titled, “Christ, not Caesar, is head of the church.”

Many believe government leaders are unfairly targeting houses of worship in violation of religious freedom, and a number of churches have filed lawsuits to challenge state orders.

In July, three California churches sued pro-abortion Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom for singling out houses of worship in his latest coronavirus restrictions.

The churches, Calvary Chapel of Ukiah, Calvary Chapel Fort Bragg and River of Life Church, said California leaders are unfairly targeting them by allowing massive protests to continue while heavily

restricting religious worship.

According to their lawsuit, “When asked to explain whether people should heed Newsom’s mandate and avoid large crowds and gatherings, Newsom refused to place the same restrictions on protesters and explained ‘we have a Constitution, we have a right to free speech,’ and further stated that ‘we are all dealing with a moment in our nation‘s history that is profound and pronounced — do what you think is best.’”

Isolating yourself is not going to help. Who told you that becoming older is something negative?

God is still using older saints who have a lot of experience in the things of God, knowledge of His Word, and the ability to work in situations which require attention.

The main job of a pastor is to protect the sheep, while the under-shepherds do the ministries needed. Eph. 4:11: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers…”

In his Word Jesus himself set this in order. So, if we follow His commands, things will run smoothly and there will be order and room for all to minister in divine callings. It is Jesus who gives gifts to people.

As we mature in age and in the Word, we should know our calling. Jesus never stops us, but encourages us and makes a way where it seems impossible.

God has a place for

the man or woman who dares to believe. Those whom God has his hand upon are not subject to the opinions of others or even their own opinion of themselves.

Romans 4:1: “What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?” As he heard the the voice of God and obeyed, God judged him, but also, wonderful things were manifested!

God said to Abraham long ago, “Come out!”

And he went out! Gen. 12:1-4.

When you come to the hearing of faith, and pay no attention to the natural order of things: taste, desire, affection, and other things happening in the natural world, God can speak to your heart.

(Here is an interpretation of tongues in a certain morning meeting:) “Faith is the substance, undisturbed as the waves crash.

So, let’s lift up our hands and our heads and seek the King of Kings, and hear his desire for our lives – young and old.

He is coming very soon for us.

John 9:4: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

Let us all, younger and older, who love Jesus Christ, be available to Him who died for us that we might live.

By Louise Alleva, D.Min, LCPC, CTC Email: Louise.alleva@gmail.com I love old musical movies like “Singing in The Rain”, “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”, “Brigadoon”, etc. But one of my favorites was more of a life story/musical called the “Glen Miller Story” and within that story, I was shown a Biblical message.

One of the great band leaders of the 1920’s-1940’s, Glen Miller, formed a dance band with top musicians.

During the years of playing dance music, and as good as they were, Glen was pursuing something called the sound.

The movie showed his family and his band going through some rough times, but they never gave up and encouraged him to keep trying. One day, during a rehearsal for the next job, the lead trumpet player split his lip and could not play. It was then, with a different combination of musical instruments; they suddenly started playing the type of music that Glen pursued. It would offer audiences a new and amazing sound to hear and dance to for many years. The band had the expertise that Glen needed, and by accident Glen found the sound he had been hoping for.

During our early days of ministry, Nick and I were leaders in training and as the new pastor of the fivefold ministry, Nick gave the Wednesday night sermons. Since I had some public speaking training, Nick would later ask me if I noticed anything he could improve on in his message. I

mentioned a few things, and though the sermon was biblically correct it seemed like he was trying too hard trying to get his message across to others. That’s when I remembered the movie. I suggested maybe he still didn’t have his “sound” and he agreed.

Like Glen Miller, Nick continued to search for years. It was when we were sent out to start a church in Arkansas and we were on our own was when he found his sound. Glen Miller found it because of the loss of a valued band member, and the band rearranging instruments to fill the gap, Nick found a hint that his sound was actually throught the power of the Holy Spirit and listened to Him. What both Glen Miller and Nick had in common was that they never gave up.

I shared these stories because we all have at times struggled with issues that have hindered our walk with the Lord.

In counseling new and mature Christians, my first focus is to walk them through repentance of past sins, forgiveness of others and themselves, and then begin to focus on a new freedom to be all that the Lord created them for. The hardest for many is understand they need to stay in the destinies God has set for them and not necessarily what they think it should be.

Especially if they struggle with trying to achieve their dreams of ministry and feel they have failed.

I stress to anyone wondering where they fit in

this Kingdom on earth, or feel their gifts are not being used by God or wondering if they will ever have a breakthrough in their ministry is DO NOT GIVE UP. God is there for you all along the way.

Philippians 1:6 says that “He who began a good work will continue it until the day of Christ Jesus”.

Understand that in His presence all of our Godly hopes and dreams will be realized. It is all about IN HIS PRESENCE. Understand, 1Thess 4:16-17 says it all, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” You received your sound when you were freed from those things that held you captive. Just rely on Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit He left for us. Just like Nick found out. The Sound actually comes with an eternal promise.

One interesting fact. Glen Miller’s sound came after his trumpet player cut his lip. Your sound comes to completion when the Archangel sounds the trumpet of God and believe me, he won’t be cutting his lip!

Oxford University and AstraZeneca Making Coronavirus Vaccine Using Cells From Aborted Babies ...vaccines which are not made using cell lines originally derived from the tissue of aborted unborn children.

Some vaccines are being developed without the use of foetal cell lines. These vaccines may involve plant or animal cells. For example: cells from insects, tobacco plants and hamster ovaries. A team at Imperial College London is working on a ‘synthetic’ vaccine i.e. a ‘cell-free’ method. There are no pro-life concerns with these vaccines.

Other researchers also using cell lines from aborted babies include CanSino Biologics, Inc. and the Beijing Institute of Biotechnology and the University of Pittsburgh, Science reports. Some are using a cell line from a baby who was aborted sometime around 1972, while others are using one from a baby who was aborted in 1985.

University of Pittsburgh researcher Andrea Gambotto said the cell lines from aborted babies are more useful than ethically-derived sources.

“Cultured [nonhuman] animal cells can produce the same proteins, but they would be decorated with different sugar molecules, which—in the case

of vaccines—runs the risk of failing to evoke a robust and specific immune response,” Gambotto said.

But other scientists disagree. Earlier this year, the Charlotte Lozier Institute identified 60 potential treatments for the virus that are being investigated using materials that do not come from aborted babies.

Respected researchers Drs. James L. Sherley, MD, PhD and David A. Prentice, PhD recently reviewed the vaccines in development for the coronavirus and published a list identifying which are being made ethically and unethically.

They found at least 10 companies that are not using cell lines from aborted babies in their vaccines.

Pro-life leaders also have highlighted how ethical alternatives to cell lines from aborted babies are available, including pluripotent stem cells and tissue from placentas, umbilical cords and amniotic fluid. In 2018, the Trump administration created a $20 million grant to invest in these ethical research alternatives.

Catholic and pro-life organizations have been advocating against re-

search using aborted baby body parts for years. During the coronavirus crisis, they have renewed calls to scientists to abide by basic ethical standards in their efforts to save lives.

According to the Catholic News Agency, a Canadian Catholic archbishop recently took his pro-life advocacy a step further by donating thousands of dollars to an ethical vaccine research project at the University of British Columbia.

Earlier this spring, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops sent a letter urging the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure vaccines are being produced ethically. “… we think it’s very important at this moment to let the voice not only of the Church but other concerned citizens to voice that we want to—we all want a vaccine, we realize that’s important for our public health, but we also want a vaccine that has no ethical problems in the way it’s developed,” said Archbishop Joseph Naumann, chairman of the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities, earlier this spring. +++

According to the lawsuit, the churches could face fines, imprisonment or both if they violate Newsom’s mandate.

Most religious leaders across the world urged their congregations to be safe and practice common-sense health measures to protect themselves and others during the coronavirus outbreak. Throughout the

spring, many religious services were held online or in special drive-in venues where people stayed in their vehicles with the windows up while listening to the service on their radios.

Meanwhile, abortion facilities continued aborting unborn babies unhindered in most states.

Some Planned Parenthood abortion facilities were open for abortions only. Others asked for donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) for their work aborting unborn babies – taking PPE away from hospitals

that needed it for actual, life-saving health care.

And while massive Black Lives Matter protests have occurred in cities across the country, prolife sidewalk counselors have been fined and arrested for offering information and resources to pregnant moms as they went into abortion facilities during the initial outbreak. Every national alliance worldwide is organizing a nationwide platform to mobilize and challenge churches to accomplish the great commandment to love God above all.

We’re calling the church to work together for holistic disciple-making.”

Florida Has 14X Lower Coronavirus Death Rate Than New York Thanks to Pro-Life Gov. Ron DeSantis

It is well below death rates in New York City, New York state (including New York City), New Jersey (whose counties with the most deaths are New York City suburbs), Connecticut (which similarly experienced large numbers of cases in suburban New York City counties), and Massachusetts.

For Florida’s COVID-19 mortality rate to reach that of New York City, deaths would have to rise from its current level of just over 6,000 to more than 83,000. To match New Jersey’s death rate would require total Florida deaths to eclipse 38,000.

That’s not outside the realm of possibility, of course, but seems improbable.

The LSV also follows the same path laid out by Young’s in translating verbs in the most accurate way possible, recognizing the aspectual or perfect/imperfect nature of biblical Hebrew as defended by scholars like Wilhelm Gesenius, Heinrich Ewald, and Samuel Lee. While not necessarily as smooth as

dynamic equivalence translations used in daily devotionals that incorporate paraphrase, readers of the LSV will get the closest glimpse possible into the meaning of the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek text of the Bible, without resorting to an interlinear resource or the original languages themselves. In addition, by utilizing justified textblocks similar to the original autographs and caesura marks in poetry, the LSV is the easiest English translation to publish, share, and distribute ever made.

On August 1, sometime after midnight, anarchists in Portland once again burned the American flag. But this time they did something different: they engaged in book burning. The book they chose was the Bible.

They burned boxes full of them.

We’ve waited a few days to see how many media outlets would report on what happened. One did.

There was not a single mention of it on any of the broadcast or cable TV news shows. And aside from the New York Post, no newspaper in the nation covered it. The only mention of it was on the internet; a few TV commentators noted it as well.

Had it been the Quran that was burned, it is a sure bet the media would have been all over it. Burning Islamic holy books would be considered intolerant.

But burning the Bible is not, and in some quarters may even be seen as meritorious.

Besides the media blackout, the larger issue for Americans is what the Bible burnings represent. What happened last weekend in Portland was a mini-Hitlerian event, plain and simple.

On May 10, 1933, 40,000 people gathered in Berlin to hear Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels instruct university students to burn books deemed offensive to the regime.

They proceeded to burn 25,000 volumes, including those written by Brecht, Einstein, Freud, and Hemingway.

During Mao’s Zedong’s Cultural Revolution, 196676, the Communists went on a tear burning books that undermined their efforts at thought control.

That was then. Now book burning is back with a vengeance: books were burned last December and as recently as last month. Reports have surfaced saying the Communists are “burning books and burying Confucian scholars.”

Chief Justice John Roberts is So Incompetent He Can’t Even Protect Religious Freedom

By TONY PERKINS If there’s one thing Americans have learned from the Supreme Court in 2020, it’s this: there are no guarantees. Even now, after a slew of bad decisions, conservatives wanted to believe that when it comes to religious liberty, even Chief Justice John Roberts couldn’t get that wrong.

Well, think again. When it comes to siding with the Constitution, even Vegas will tell you — don’t bet on Roberts.

Even by the Left’s estimation, Friday’s case was cut and dried. When Nevada’s governor, Steve Sisolak (D) decided to open casinos to thousands of people — but cap church attendance at 50 — the lawsuit almost wrote itself.

As far as First Amendment violations go, experts thought, this was textbook. “Not only is this disparate treatment,” Senator Josh Hawley (RMo.) argued on “Washington Watch,” but “the Constitution of the United States gives churches and the right to worship a special status.” So, imagine everyone’s surprise — including the liberal media’s — when this case was fast-tracked to the Supreme Court for emergency action, and the liberal majority refused to intervene!

To the absolute astonishment of everyone, Roberts and the other liberal justices decided that casinos should have more freedom to operate than the houses of worship legally protected by the Constitution. “It’s quite remarkable,” Alliance Defending Freedom’s David Cortman said. And the other four justices agreed. In a pair of biting dissents, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch, tried to understand how anyone — let alone five mem-

bers of the U.S. Supreme Court — could justify the “right” to play craps over the free exercise of religion.

“The world we inhabit today, with a pandemic upon us, poses unusual challenges,” Gorsuch agreed. “But there is no world in which the Constitution permits Nevada to favor Caesars Palace over Calvary Chapel.”

The Constitution, Alito piled on, “says nothing about the freedom to play… blackjack, to feed tokens into a slot machine, or to engage in any other game of chance.”

And while we’re on the subject of the pandemic, he wonders, how does the court square the risks of a casino, packed with “thousands of patrons,” eating, drinking, and “far less physical distancing,” with a church that has strict safety measures in place? It’s obvious why Nevada would prioritize casinos, since over a third of the state’s revenue comes from gambling.

But from a pure health perspective, it makes no sense. Grace Community Church has always stood immovably on those biblical principles. As His people, we are subject to His will and commands as revealed in Scripture. Therefore, we cannot and will not acquiesce to a government-im-

posed moratorium on our weekly congregational worship or other regular corporate gatherings. Compliance would be disobedience to our Lord’s clear commands.”

Pastor MacArthur said, “This is not the first time we as Christ’s church have stood for Truth. We will continue to stand firm for the Truth today like we have every prior day in our 63-year history and as the biblical New Testament Church has done for more than 2000 years. Church is essential, and the government has no power to arbitrate whether religious organizations are essential.

This is not about health and safety; it is about targeting churches.”

LiMandri said, “It is unconstitutional for Governor Newsom and the State of California to discriminate against churches by treating them less favorably than other organizations and

activities that are not protected by the First Amendment.

Pastor MacArthur and his church, as well as all churches, are entitled to practice their religion without government interference. This is especially the case when the government has given free rein to protestors, and is not similarly restricting marijuana dispensaries, large retail outlets and factories, and abortion providers.

The government orders are also unconstitutional because there is no compelling need for the onerous restrictions on the churches at this time. The hospitals are not overwhelmed and the percentage death rate from COVID-19 is now extremely small.

CBN News reports the Satanic Temple (TST) launched a campaign to promote its “religious abortion ritual,” which it compares to baptism or communion for Christians.

The “ritual” celebrates the killing of an innocent unborn child by abortion.

TST claims the deadly practice follows two of its tenets: bodily autonomy and adherence to best scientific practices.

On Wednesday, the TST announced plans to challenge state abortion laws based on the claim that they violate its members’ religious liberty. To fund its pro-abortion efforts, it is raising money through a raffle. The “grand prize” for those who donate at least $200 is an abortion.

“Win a free abortion. The Satanic Temple will cover the medical expenses for your pregnancy termination up to $2,500,” the fundraiser states.

Other prizes include a “religious abortion kit consisting of a TST compact mirror and a ritual instruction sheet” and a “Thyself is Thy Master” bracelet.

“The Satanic Temple is proud to announce its Religious Abortion Ritual, a ceremony rooted in our deeply-held beliefs,” the group said in a video

announcement on YouTube. “Thyself is thy master. Hail Satan!”

It claims its abortion ritual is a “spiritual experience designed to instill confidence and self-worth in accordance to TST’s religious beliefs,” and it compared the “ritual” of killing unborn babies to a baptism or communion for Christians.

According to the Friendly Atheist blog, the Satanic Temple described its “ritual” for abortions this way: Prior to receiving any anesthetic or sedation, look at your reflection to be reminded of your personhood and your responsibility to yourself. Focus on your intent. Take deep breaths, and make yourself comfortable. When you are ready, say the Third Tenet and Fifth Tenet aloud. You may now undergo the surgery. After the surgery is completed and any anesthetic has worn off, return to your reflection and recite your personal affirmation. Feel doubts dissipating and your confidence growing as you have just undertaken a decision that affirms your autonomy and free will.

The religious abortion ritual is now complete.

The satanists said they believe in “abortion on demand” in the first trimester – meaning without regulations, restrictions or informed consent.

They oppose laws that require abortion facilities

to show mothers the ul trasounds of their unborn babies or allow them to listen to their unborn baby’s heartbeat. They oppose waiting periods that ensure mothers have time to consider informed consent information prior to going through with the abortion. And they want to be exempted from laws that require abortion facilities to bury or cremate the remains of aborted babies.

Their plan is to challenge the laws based on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which ensures the government does not unnecessarily interfere with people’s religious freedom.

According to the Friendly Atheist, “By saying abortions in the first trimester are a religious ritual for their members, any states that have their own RFRA laws — and most anti-abortion states have them — would theoretically have to show why their … restrictions should override the Satanists’ religious freedom.”

So far, all of the Satanic Temple’s lawsuits against pro-life laws have failed.

In June, a federal appeals court rejected their latest attempt at challenging Missouri’s informed consent law. In 2019, the Missouri Supreme Court dismissed another one of the Satanic Temple’s lawsuits. But every time they lose, they try again with a new approach.
