Dear Reverend: I was reading how God wants us to be strong and healthy in every area of our lives. Spiritually strong. Strong in in faith. Strong in redemption. Strong in the love of God. He wants us to be well in our minds and to be emotionally stable. It’s a real battle every day. At times, sleepless nights. Usually the fray begins after we have a great blessing in some area, when we are proclaiming God’s word, singing his praises, or praying over someone. Spinning ---
Dear Spinning: I saw this vision while reading God’s word today. It consisted of a large roulette wheel which the devil continually spins to try to trip us up and defeat us. The spinner could stop on pain, depression, past hurts, discouragement, or unforgiveness.
Let’s go to God’s word to prevent the devil’s activities from affecting us. The devil is a liar. The pointer always lands on a negative item, because that’s all he has to offer! There are no positive items on his agenda!
What we want are positive happenings in our lives. We want to land right smack on VICTORY! Win! Win! Win! Praise God! 1Peter 5:8 says the devil is a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. He is fiercely hungry! Let’s be sober, alert, and well-balanced. 1Peter 5:9 says to resist him, be firm in your faith, immovable. Verse 10 says Christ will strengthen you, making you what you ought to be…Victorious! This is God’s Truth!
