Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao Heard God’s Voice, Saw Angels, and Was Born Again

By Mark Ellis He grew up poor in the Philippines and went to work at an early age to support his mother after his parents separated. At 14 he began to fight, rising through the ranks to win 10 world titles.

But the current WBO welterweight champion’s bold profession of faith in Jesus Christ is what sets him apart.

Raised Roman Catholic, Manny strayed from the church as he rose to fame in his boxing career. “I went to church on Sunday, but from Monday through Saturday I was in the bar drinking,” he told CBN. “I was gambling.

But one day he read a letter that gripped his heart. “I received a letter from my mother saying my sister stopped going to school because I stopped sending them the money. I cried, blaming myself for spending all the money on alcohol.”

That same night in 2011, not long after his third fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, God visited Manny in a powerful dream. “I heard the voice of God in my dream. His voice was ten times louder than thunder. He said to me, “My child, my child, why have you gone astray?” he recounted to CBN. In the dream, which unfolded in a beautiful forest amid flowers, he also saw two angels, according to an interview with The Blaze. “When I heard the voice of God I felt like I died. … I was in the middle of the forest and I was kneeling and praying with my face on the ground and then I saw a light, a very white light and I heard the voice.”

He said the angels had “white, long, big wings” and said that God revealed to him “about the end of time.”

“I felt I was melting when I heard the voice of God. It was the turning point in my life. God spoke to me and he told me

But one day he felt compelled to pick up the Bible and begin reading it for himself. “I forgot about that dream, but when I started reading the Bible, the first verse I read said that God talked to a man through dreams. As a result of the power of God’s Word, the working of the Holy Spirit in his heart and the compelling dream, Manny surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

The most important thing to Manny has become his faith in Jesus. “When you have Jesus in your life, when you have God in your life, the things in this world are not important to your heart. What is important is God in your heart.”

Remember, these visions were given to Daniel 550 to 600 years before Christ. In Dan. 2:31-45, Daniel reveals the dream itself and Bob Duffany the meaning of King Nebuchadnezzar’s (King of Babylon) dream. The breast and arms of silver represent the Medo-Persian Empire which was to follow Babylon in the march of world kingdoms.

The belly and thighs of brass represent the Grecian Kingdom which would follow the Medo-Persian Empire. These are the fourth and fifth kingdoms which would persecute Israel. The next two, sixth and seventh, would be the Roman Empire and the Revised Roman Empire. We will not go into these at this time. Our interest in this session lies in discovering from which kingdom (and specific country) the Antichrist will arise. As stated earlier, we will investigate later the other relevant revelations in Daniel and elsewhere.

In Daniel Chapter 7, he is given a vision of four beasts, of which the third beast, like a leopard, is the fifth world empire, and represents Greece (Dan. 7:6). Here, the beast is described as having on its back four wings of a fowl, and four heads,

and dominion was given to the beast (it, Greece, had dominion over the other parts of the world at the time). In Daniel Chapter 8:5, an hegoat (an acknowledged symbol of Greece) came from the West with a notable horn between its eyes (the horn represents the King of Greece, Alexander the Great).

Verses six and seven describe his war and victory over the Medo-Persian Empire.

Verse eight tells of his great strength and sudden death (the horn was broken) at age 33 years. From it came four notable ones (smaller but weaker horns). This represents the Grecian Empire divided into the historical four regions of the Grecian Empire: Greece, Turkey, Syria, and Egypt, which were ruled by four of Alexander’s generals.

Verse nine describes a little horn which comes up out of one of the four divisions of the old Grecian Empire. Verses ten through fourteen go on to describe the nefarious activities of this wicked king: his stamping down of the Jewish people; magnifying himself to be the high priest (prince of the host); the taking away of the daily sacrifice. This desolation was to remain for 2,300 days.

God’s Miracle on the Boat

Florida was now my home after moving down from New York and I had taken a couple weeks to spend along the Mosquito Coast. Preparing to go back home at the end of my trip, I was at Cocobilla and needed to get to Puerto Lempira to catch a small plane to Tegucigalpa in order to connect with my flight to the U.S. I boarded the boat that crosses the lagoon and as we were approaching the

bank suddenly a violent storm arose and almost capsized us.

‘Miracle’ Timing for Believers Exiting Church as Quake Struck

After the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck near Kathmandu, Nepal, police reported more than 4,000 confirmed dead, 7,000 injured and tens of thousands homeless. Authorities say the numbers may rise dramatically as rescuers make their way to remote villages in the Himalayas.

The earthquake collapsed centuries-old temples and triggered avalanches on Mt. Everest and the

surrounding villages at the base of the mountain. It was the worst earthquake to hit the impoverished South Asian nation in more than 80 years.

One leader of a Tibetan fellowship in Kathmandu called it “a miracle” that the deadly earthquake struck just before noon, as worshippers were exiting the church building, according to a report by Christian Aid Mission.

“Ten minutes earlier and everyone would still have been inside,” said Christian Aid’s South Asia Director,

herself a native of Nepal. “There would have certainly been many injuries, if not deaths.”

Christian Aid Mission has been able to contact the leaders of two out of the 12 indigenous ministries they help in Nepal. A leader in another city reported no injuries among their people, while the other leaders could not be reached because phone lines are down and cell service is not working in those regions. Their status remains unknown at this time.

A Samaritan’s Purse disaster response team member who arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, in the early morning hours on Sunday saw incredible destruction, death, and need in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake.

“There’s a lot of hurting people here,” said Patrick Seger, the team leader for Samaritan’s Purse. “I saw a number of needs out there, a number of dead people, a lot of structures had fallen. A lot of people lost their homes and lost their incomes. They’re trying to figure out what they’re going to do.”

Samaritan’s Purse is rushing disaster response experts and an initial airlift of 60 tons of relief supplies to Nepal.

God Cares For Us Even in The Little Things

Suddenly the word “mountain” popped into my mind. How strange!

I thought about the mountains in Tennessee where once we nearly plunged off the side. I remembered the beautiful mountains in Colorado where I was scared out of my mind by being pulled up the mountain in an open cage. We decided not to go back down the same way so that left us to walk back down.

Instead we tumbled and slid most of the way until two and a half hours later we reached firm flat ground.

Then I remembered another mountain. The mountain Jesus spoke of in Matthew 21 verse 21. Jesus said to His disciples, “if you have faith and doubt not ye shall say to this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and it shall be done.”

Unceasingly the wind continued to howl loudly. It came to my mind that the storm was my mountain standing in the way of my badly needed sleep.

Could I ask God rolled over and over in my mind. Would that be alright? God had answered so many prayers for me in the past. I didn’t want Him to think

I was using Him, but surely He would know I needed sleep.

So I prayed, reminding Him what Jesus had said “if we had faith”. Certain that God knew I had faith, I asked for Him to please stop the wind and rain just until I could fall asleep. Once I finished praying lo and behold, you guessed it, the wind and rain were stilled and soon I was fast asleep.

The next morning I awoke again to the loud wind and rain. My God was bigger than the storm and I was once again assured God is still caring for us, even the little things. Thank you Lord.
