It’s all about steaming Steaming has always been a popular cooking technique in Asia. By steaming your food, vitamins and nutrients, which otherwise dissolve in the cooking water, are preserved. In addition, and perhaps even more important, the taste and flavour of the food is extra well preserved. How does steaming work? The steam always stays just below 100°C, enabling your food to stay tender and juicy. Next to this, the steam circulates around your dish, meaning you don't have to turn it halfway.
