ARCHITECTURE: THE LAST WEXLER HOUSE
17
// DONALD WEXLER’S DREAM HOME The location for our May shoot took place in the last home designed by the late Donald Wexler, a mid-century architect who left his mark on Palm Springs. Wexler was in retirement when he agreed to build this last house for agent Marc Sanders, a close friend and real estate agent in the Palm Springs area. The design of the home is both minimalist and considerate of the environment; orientation of the home is rotated by 45 degrees to take advantage of light and shade. It is also wired for solar, as Wexler prefered sustainable design. Finally - this is the last of the architetct’s steel houses, a construction detail for which Wexler is best known for using. The cost to use steel instead of wood was over $200,000 and forced innovative design for plumbing and electrical. Wexler’s mark can be felt throughout Palm Springs, a city that has embraced mid-century design like no other.

CHILL WITH MODEL TIFFANY KELLER
21
// TIFFANY KELLER Tiffany Keller, AKA TK, is one of the babes in our spring campaign shot in Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. A San Diego native, TK is a chill kinda gal - the kind you can comfortably go to a movie with, grab drinks, and hang out with as you might with the bros. We sat down with her behind-the-scenes and got to know her a little better: Where are you from? I was born and raised in San Diego. It’s one of the most amazing places, in my opinion, especially after I left the nest, traveled to other countries, and moved to a different city. What are some of your favorite things to do in LA? I’m very active and adventurous, and love all the options LA has to offer. If I had to choose, it would be hiking, going to the beach, and eating out - those are probably my most frequent activities.
Is there a model or actor that inspires you? Kate Moss Adriana Lima Sophia Loren Bridget Bardo Karlie Kloss Claudia Schiffer What are your favorite instagram accounts? Aside from my beautiful friends: @boysdontplaywithbarbies @beautifuldestinations @livegreenhealthy @nasa @sportscenter @perfectvideos
Do you have any favorite restaurant to go to and any dishes you recommend ordering? I’m a huge foodie and I love to cook. LA has so many options, and it really depends on my mood and what part of the city I’m in. Here are some places I’ve gone to recently: Cafe Gratitude Faith & Flower Sugar Fish Toca Madera Daikokya (order the spicy miso ramen) Spitz (order the Street Cart Döner) Osteria Mozza 22
