Hear tbeat series is to record the sounds of ice melting, the drip-drip sounds present the sounds of our hear tbeat, and the droplets might travel all the way around then drip again near to the hear t, as well as making the dripping sound near the ear, this makes the connection to the idea of the sound of a beating hear t directly.

Faded series is emphasising that nothing lasts forever, but when life gone, it would definitely leave something. When the ice melts, the flower inside would show out gradually, presenting when our life faded away, always lef t something for love ones to memorise. 7

The shape of eyes is my design elements, because eyes are the window to the soul, no matter whic h colour of skin you are. Copper and brass represent the colour of dif ferent skin, and the inside all used silver that means it doesn’t matter whic h colour of skin you are, we are all the same.

A big par t of plastic surger y culture today is fuelled by people wanting to have more Western features. Not just in Korea, in this day and age, plastic surger y is a normal phenomenon. We tend to have dif ferent ideas on what beauty can be. But does the current standard of beauty work for ever yone? The uplif ted fake nose with the reconstructed DNA of the skin, the pearls make the nose with a little bit beauty and delicate, but when it combines with the DNA , does it really look beautiful for us as well?

Before That Apple is presented by a process of consuming. When we drinking a real juice, af ter we finished it, we still have the action of suc king the pac kage for that rest of the juice even we already finished it, whic h points out even we already satisfied our desire, we still want more. The process is like a picturing of consuming the juice, as long as we finish the juice, the desire inside our mind would show up gradually. So If we star ted to satisfy our own desire, does it get fulfillment or it just keeps hunger at the first time?

I decided to create a speculative design as my graduation project, the abstract world like “Utopia” named "Famineity", whic h involved two issues with highly global awareness, that are “Femineity” and “Famine”, let people have some thinking reflections of their behaviour.

Fi na l Modelin g Use the water drop to trigger the light to illuminate, the amount of water dropping that makes the light flash, and the flashing light is like a hear t beat. Conveying women’s tears is the main source of life.

I ni t ia l Ideal The original proposal was based on a dif fuser, and was shaped in a natural form suc h as mountain and cactus.

Pr o j e c t De t er m in at io n However, I found that the structure of the dif fuser was too complicated and not easy to use, so I c hanged dif fuser into a dif fused stone. Then combine the style of ukiyo-e with a simple shape.

The luminaire is divided into three sections: a wood base, a light-transmissive mask , and a dif fused stone. The way to use it, is to trigger the light, and put the refresher oil on the top of the dif fused stone. Ver y simple to use.

Fi na l Modeli ng Af ter rendering the image, it is similar to the result I imagined. The special point is that the side of the wood base has a streamlined line that allows the light to pass through and also conveys the ef fect of ukiyo-e.

Mod e l Maki ng There was an accident during the real exhibition, the bulb wattage is too low, cause the light not bright enough. So I had to put the additional light bar into my lamp, but the ef fect was still ver y good, and the touc h panel is still work independently. 38

I analyzed the varieties of cof fee produced from dif ferent countries around the world, and also studied the color of dif ferent types of cof fee. And I found that Mandheling and Irgac hefe from Ethiopia have ver y beautiful colors, so I decided to use the original color of cof fee to make ice drop cof fee design.

According to the data collection, the extraction time of iced cof fee is long, the taste is relatively strong, and the price is also high, so it is suitable for the group that likes to enjoy life, that is, my target group.

I nit ia l Ideal The original idea was to make a combination of cof fee and installation ar t, and even thought a lot of maneuvering design, but later found that the feasibility was ver y low and the experiment was not successful, so I decided to go with the original form of iced cof fee. Combine with my design concept.

P r oject De t er mi nat i o n I decided that I should design with ink painting as the central idea, so I used the shape of the mountain to draw a sketc h and found that the color of the original cof fee can be used as an element of ink painting!

The final shape is ver y simple and straightfor ward, the operation is similar to the general iced cof fee, and the color of the cof fee drops to the mountains is used as a visual ef fect. Translucent mountains and cof fee produce dif ferent light and shadow ef fects, to ac hieve the purpose of enjoying ar t while drinking cof fee.

P r o ject De t e r mi nat i o n I found that many of the lipstic ks used today have broken problems, so I c hanged the structure of the lipstic k to make the lipstic k semi-liquid, and the lid used a two-layer structure. Therefore, when the lipstic k is squeezed out, the double-layer cover ensures that the lipstic k does not over flow, and at the same time maintains the hygienic quality of the lip gloss.
