Vancouver House - Interiors MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT | Vancouver, Canada Firm: BIG Architects Experience: SD, DD, CD & CA Current Phase: Completed Role: Architect The interiors for Vancouver House take cues from the tower’s envelope. The cool, gray tones of the aluminum panels are coupled with a copper color material that act as liners at balcony walls on the east, west and south sides of the tower. This juxtaposition between cool and warm creates depth and personality that infiltrates the interior and becomes integral to the narrative of the project. The tower lobby is presented as a gallery space showcasing a stair, reception desk and mailboxes as self standing sculptures materialized in blackened steel.
