Dragon Age: Origins is a single-player fantasy RPG that is the spiritual successor to the famous Baldur's Gate.Players will have to wander through a fantasy world as part of a squad, fighting alongside its members and communicating with them. Negotiations in general are extremely important in this game - the remarks and behavior of companions directly depend on the situation you find yourself in and what decisions you make at any given time. Speaking of which, players can have up to three companions with them at once, making every camping trip memorable and unique.
The storyline of Dragon Age: Origins is filled with a lot of details and surprises. All events taking place are recorded in a game journal, which also notes conversations, key plot twists and many other occurrences. The game takes over a hundred hours to complete - with all the side quests, of course. Players will visit both large cities and small villages, see a variety of ancient ruins, go deep underground and walk through an elven forest - the geography of visits in the game is vast.
A total of six unique storylines are available, with the storyline depending on the race and class of hero. Players have a choice of three separate races (humans, dwarves and elves) and three main classes (warrior, thief and mage). In addition to this, the character gains skills, class-specific abilities and special skills that can be learned through books or communication with other characters. Dragon Age: Origins has plenty of options for character development, and the extremely high "developmental ceiling" allows you to create two completely different characters, even though they have the same backstory.
