This is the part of the magazine where we present the best entries to our regular Readers’ Challenge. See if yours is featured…

Most of the entries here are for issue 15’s Readers’ Challenge. We’ve displayed the images you were provided with on the left, although the eagle-eyed among you will notice that not all entries use these.

The reason for this is simple. We have stripped away all restrictions for this challenge, because we want to get as many of you involved as possible. So there’s no time limit on the challenge – meaning you can go at your own pace. There’s no skill level requirement – meaning your entry can be as simple or complicated as you like. And most importantly – there’s no limitations on what type of images you can create. Go for full-on illustrations or keep to editing photos. All we ask is that you use at least one of the images on the disc and that you have fun doing whatever it is you decide to do!

So have a ick through these pages and see how fellow readers are using Photoshop to do amazing things with a bunch of old photos!

THE WINNER!

Get Thinking Mmm…

“I spent some time getting this all together. I fi rst took this photo of me at my desk, then I cut all the objects out and worked on them individually adding wood grain. I then placed them on my desk, adding shadows and light, and lastly I used the Smudge tool to paint the whole pic.”

Why it’s a winner!

First of all, there were some excellent images this issue and picking a winner was tricky. But Kevin took the title, thanks to his concept. Illustrating the creative process using challenge images was genius, and the paint effect looks beautiful. All in all, it was a fabulous entry and worthy of being crowned winner.
