We’re closer than ever to taking back control, to the things we miss and the people we love. Getting there means keeping it up, just a little longer. It means wearing our masks, washing our hands and social distancing. It means keeping up the hope and belief that better days are coming. Let’s give it one more push. Whatever it takes, for as long as it takes. For all of us; because we’re all worth pushing for.

mirates Airline Park provides a fitting location for the start of the 2021 British & Irish Lions
tour. Having taken on the Emirates Lions last Saturday, Warren Gatland’s men will face the Cell C Sharks tonight. The Lions have won 10 of their 11 matches against the Sharks (formerly known as Natal), with one draw. In 1997, the Lions beat the Sharks 42-12, with flyhalf Gregor Townsend, replacement centre Mike Catt and flank Lawrence Dallaglio scoring tries, and fullback Neil Jenkins kicking three conversions and six penalty goals. In 2009, the Lions scored five tries – via hooker Lee Mears, scrumhalf Mike Phillips, wing Luke Fitzgerald, fullback Lee Byrne and No 8 Jamie Heaslip – in a 39-9 win against the Sharks, who could only manage three penalty goals from scrumhalf Rory Kockott.
