Alana Sullivan, NIL Business Manager at Wolfpack Sports Properties, attributes her career foundation to High Point University Mentored by Dr Lukow, she led initiatives like Facility Fridays and completed a three-year Learfield internship. Sullivan advises students to network, join the SMA, and use HPU’s alumni network to gain valuable industry connections She emphasizes understanding the sports business and staying current with trends like NIL, noting that “timing is everything” for career success and encouraging students to “stay ready for the right opportunity ”

Annie Borovskiy, HPU Graduate and Inside Sales Representative for the Brooklyn Nets, recently visited High Point University to speak with Sport Management students about her role and career journey She engaged with 32 students, including 8 from the Sport Management Association, offering insights and answering questions about working in professional sports After the presentation, Borovskiy joined a small group of sport management students for lunch, where she continued sharing experiences and career advice in the competitive sports industry

Peyton Gilmore won 1st place in the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers Case Study, while Whit Rhodes, Jack Roush, Faith Anne Yeley, and Brian Rosenblatt took 1st in the TOGETHXR Case Study Owen Williamson, Vinny Cafiso, and Jack Robinson earned 2nd place in the Visit NC Case Study Congratulations all!

Senior Sport Management major Whit Rhodes credits HPU's SMG program for equipping him with skills to succeed in sports business. With internships at the HPU Athletic Department and the Atlanta Hawks and experience on case study teams, Rhodes stands out as a dedicated leader in the program

I am Faith Anne Yeley, a sophomore majoring in Sport Management with minors in Legal Studies and Event Management I serve as the SGA Class of 2027 President, Secretary of the Sport Management Association, a member of the Sport Management Case Study team, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Mastering the Field of Sport Management newsletter

with a Guest Speaker Series featuring men’s basketball coach Alan Huss, who shared valuable insights into collegiate athletics, emphasizing the importance of analytics in game strategy and networking

Additionally, several industry professionals enriched our understanding of the sports sector with their diverse perspectives Our standout students showcased their talents through academic achievements and internships, reflecting the excellence of our program

Our NC-SMA Case Study teams also excelled at the recent symposium, delivering compelling presentations on innovative strategies in sport management Their performance earned accolades and demonstrated the value of teamwork and preparation, setting a high standard for future events

students to the SEVT Conference at the University of South Carolina from November 11 to 13, offering valuable insights and networking opportunities while representing both HPU and the Sport Management Program
