“Harvard Friborg really isn’t sure why things happen to him, but he trusts it’s in God’s plan. This was realized after he was bitten by a monkey in an African zoo.
Amy (Michael) almost died in a car crash when she was young. She loves to glorify God by playing guitar because she knows that He saved her and is deserving of praise.
Susan Nolan overcame self doubt from prayers, and she built even more confidence in Hillcrest the past few weeks. Now, she is an outgoing girl full of confidence, She is learning through God that every person is equal.
“I was homeschooled, and I just wanted to do something different I guess.” Grace is branching out of her comfort zone, gradually seeing hillcrest as a family. Her goal is to grow in her relationship with Jesus Christ.

Tara loves to serve the Lord. She is excited to take the things she learns at Hillcrest with her when she goes back to work at Tuscarora.

Ethan finds friendships on the football field. His favorite part of the season is growing with his teammates on and off the field.
Emma Royce was crushed last year. Her knee injury stopped her from playing most sports. She lost her identity, but God used her struggles; discovering her true purpose in Christ Jesus.

Throws six different pitches and Coach Nersten and the girls are buzzing. Nicole attended pitching lessons once a week for seven years, and while softball may be her passion, God is the center of her life.

There’s only one thing missing at Hillcrest: Squash. Missing the game as a player on the national Malaysian squash team, Crystal hopes to fill that empty void with soccer this season.

Cultural shock rocked his daily basketball schedule. What was breakfast, ball, lunch, ball, dinner, basketball movies is different due to Fergus weather. Regardless he feels at home in his talent and love for basketball.

Trading in cleats and pads for colored pencils, Chris considers himself quite the renaissance man. Outside of athletics, Chris also has a passion for art.
Jonas is an excellent student in Math, but he was a normal student. To have success today he learned some good experiences through his teacher in 10th grade.

This New Yorker loves the strength felt by the ability to bend and shape metal in his custom tinsmithing workshop. Shaping and creating music is another love, and his ukulele gives him that chance to share his talent with his new family away from home.
Matilde comes from a large family of Hillcrest alumni. She is the 10th person In her family to attend Hillcrest.
Friends of China or F.O.C. is the group tim’s family represents in china. But it’s not just a name, it’s Tim’s lifestyle. tim has lived in China for 14 years and is just spending a year at hillcrest before returning to Chengdu China.

I love the community here, it feels like we are all one big happy family.” Sherry is an artist, from drawing anime to playing guitar and piano. She is seeking to find faith at hillcrest, one that can support her.
My first bible class was philosophy and religion with Mr. Preston. We read a book called Vanya, the main character had such a firm belief in God that I admired.

zeke has been at hillcrest since day 1, he literally grew up in the castle. he lived at hillcrest when his mom was a dean until he was 5. Now Zek is in the 7th grade and he hopes to make new friends this year.
a big Harry Potter fan, Estelle moved 9451 miles to experience a different culture. Marked with an Australian accent, this 14 year old traded Melbourne for Minnesota and is making a new home.
