are completed in a timely manner, and for that reason, our internal deadline is earlier than that for OUAC general applicants. Students are encouraged to apply and pay the application fee as early aspossiblesincefilesare forwarded to the universities as they are processed. This is onlythefirststepaspartofthe application process.

Once the school receives the OUAC information, students will then receive an email message listing the universities and programs they selected with instructions on how to view and/or update their application online.

Universitieswillmakeconditionaloffersofacceptance.This mayalsoincludeoffersofresidenceandscholarships. We recommend that students share the information regarding theirconditionalofferwiththeirguidancecounsellor.Each university has developed its own policy on this issue. It is in a student’s best interests to continue working diligently to the end of the school year to maintain the conditions oftheiroffer.Changestomarks,fromthoseforwardedto OUAC in February, could change the status of acceptance intotheprogram.Eachuniversityhasdevelopeditsown policy on this issue. Please check with the Guidance and Post-SecondaryCounsellingDepartmentforclarification. CHECKING EMAIL

It is imperative that students regularly check the email associated with their post-secondary account in order to get updated and relevant information from the schools they have applied to. Schools will communicate with the students directly and not with their guidance counsellor. Many of the emails will have time sensitive information requiring an action item or a response. Students should also check their email SPAM folders for any diverted messages,aswellasschool-specificportals.
