One of 25 “exemplaires nominatifs” printed on Japon paper, this one presented to “Monsieur J. Duval.” With 34 illustrations and decorations by Carlos Schwabe, of which 14 are full-page hand-colored woodcuts, including the front cover. Very minor foxing on the binder’s blank endleaves; one endleaf with a neatly repaired tear; moderate fading to spine; otherwise the interior is clean and bright. A fine copy. $2,500-3,500 115
