As we get into our second Annual Villa’s-CX Advantage Sale, we look forward to showcasing our 2024 sale cattle! Sale time displays the hard work that a breeder produces and their dedication to the Brangus Breed. It is a great time to look at cattle as the current cattle market is looking strong and is expected to move higher year-over-year! That is music to every cattleman’s ears. We display our cattle to show a true production sale that represents our program.
Don Cox from Cox Excalibur, has been in production for more than 40 years by selecting the best genetics and has been one of the most influential breeders in the Red Brangus breed not only in the U.S., but around the world. He has produced multiple famous productive top herd sires such as CX Home Run 135/P and many more! He has also managed to combine both performance and the show ring and has found success in doing so. The CX brand has become a well established brand that is recognized around the world.
We combined Don’s selection and our innovative thinking using technologies such as Embryo Transfers, Artificial Insemination, DNA (30K), EPDs, and Ultrasounds to create our program. Our extensive use of large contemporary Black and Red Brangus groups have helped us develop our program to know what we produce to not only better our herd, but to sell eye appealing, productive, and sturdy cows that have carcass and fertility values. We’re selling the most bred heifers we ever have! Here you can find anything from a productive heifer, a donor prospect, top herd sires, and elite genetic to start or fit into anyone’s program.
We weigh and scan every individual head in their collective contemporary groups to be able to produce the most efficient cattle we can and build up to a better animal. If you flip through the catalog, you will see that all of our animals have data that we use to be able to create a better animal that can adapt to the necessities of the current market!

The donor cow, Ms Chief Cardinal 101A4, developed by Buffaloe Cattle as an embryo calf, is special. Her pedigree is classic CX Genetics, that was used in the development of Buffaloe Cattle’s herd. CX Mr Elmos Advantage 31K a son of Mr JLS Elmo 826C, on the maternal side CX Ms Prince 31/A a daughter of the Houston Grand Champion Bull, Mr –C- Prince 30/W. Neither Elmo or Prince lives long enough to gain the notoriety they deserved. Both Sires threw outstanding progeny. Some of the best producing animals at Cox Excalibur are out of Elmo 826C. Take a close look at this bull, he will be talked about for years to come. He is super thick, big hipped, great structure with big bone, extended front end and a topline you dream of. Many of you are familiar with the resume of the Ms Sendero JLo 59J2, a female who commanded plenty of attention in the showring and hung a few banners along the way. This full brother to her offers plenty of mating versatility while still combining some of the most recognizable names in the breed. This Dynamite son is heavy structured, striking in his look from the side and packs plenty of mass when you study him from behind. There is little doubt this herd sire prospect provides consistent breeding value and marketability to his offspring.

Except for those stated in the below terms and conditions, there are no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the cattle being sold at this auction.
The warranties and guarantees set forth in the “Terms and Conditions” are in lieu of all other warranties, either expressed or implied, and the remedies provided therein shall be the sole and exclusive remedy of the buyer, or any party through buyer, for any breach of warranty or guarantee therein provided, and all other obligations or liabilities.
BIDDING: Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder without reserve. The auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids and his decision will be final.
TERMS: Terms of the sale are cash unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made with vendor previous to the sale.
PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold; but it shall be the obligation of the seller to see that animals are fed and cared for, free of charge to purchaser for a specified length of time.
CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A transferred certificate of registry will be furnished to the purchaser for each animal at no cost to the buyer within sixty (60) days after settlement. Give full name and address to secretary when making payments sothe Certificate of Registry will be transferred properly.
HEALTH: All animals are eligible for interstate shipping except for those otherwise noted. Interstate health papers will be furnished for each animal requiring T.B. and Bangs tests in accordance with Federal Regulations. A verification of vaccination will be furnished for each animal under 2 years of age that has been vaccinated for Bangs disease.
AI SERVICE CERTIFICATES: AI Service Certificates shall be furnished by the seller, at no cost to the buyer, for all females bred artificially to bulls not owned by the seller.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any changes from information of any kind in this catalog will be announced from the auction box and such announcements shall take precedence
BREEDING GUARANTEE: (A) All animals are guaranteed to be breeders with the exception of (1) injury or disease occurring after the sale. (2) negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the purchaser. (3) death by any reason. (B) Any bull which either (1) produces viable semen (2) settles 1/3 or more of the healthy cows he serves; (3) the sire of 20 or more animals or: (4) settles cows by natural service and passes a fertility test made by a competent veterinarian during any six month trial period, shall be considered a breeder. (C) Safe in calf females have been examined by competent personnel and are guaranteed. (D) Open females have not been served and are guaranteed.
PREGNANCY DETERMINATION: The females in this sale noted safe in calf have been determined pregnant by a physical palpation or ultrasound technology. Our best estimate of service sire will be given in the case of females with Al. sire and natural breeding sire.
OPTIONS & PRIVILEGES OF RETURN ADJUSTMENT: (A) All claims for adjustment must be made within six months of the sale date. (B) Any animal that has not proven itself a breeder within the time limits specified above, if in healthy condition, may be returned to the seller at buyers expense. The seller reserves the right and privilege of trying for a period of six months to prove the animal a breeder. If proven a breeder, the animal will be returned at the buyer’s expense. Should the animal fail to breed, the seller will provide a replacement animal with another of equal or greater quality. If a replacement animal is not available when needed, a credit will be issued toward your next purchase at Villa’s-CX Advantage Sale. (C) Any animal returned must have a veterinarian’s certificate that it is healthy and free of Bangs, Tuberculosis and trichomoniasis.
SHOW HEIFERS: Show Heifers sell as is, they have been haltered, washed and clipped. They are not 100% halter broke. However we cannot be held responsible for your handling and stewardship of the cattle after they leave our possession.
OPTIONS AND PRIVILEGES OF RETURN OR ADJUSTMENT: 1. All claims for adjustment or return must be made in writing within six months of the sale date or no later than six months of age. 2. If a female sold as “safe in calf ” proves not to be in calf, the purchaser may receive the services from the bull previously used, if available; or if the bull is not available, the seller shall be obligated to make satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price to the buyer, or at the buyer’s option, refund the purchase price upon the return of the animal to the seller in healthy condition. 3. Any animal that has not proven itself a breeder within the time limits specified above, if in healthy condition, may be returned to seller at buyer’s expense. The seller reserves the right and privilege of trying for a period of six months to prove the animal a breeder. If proven a breeder, the animal will be returned at buyer’s expense. Should the animal fail to breed, the buyer at his option, may either demand return of the purchase price or replacement of the animal or pair with another of equal value. In case a pair is returned because the cow is determined a nonbreeder, calf must also be returned.
RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS: (A) The above terms and conditions of sale constitute a contract between the buyers and sellers of each animal and shall be equally binding upon both. (B) Animals resold following purchase in this sale constitute a separate transaction, and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. (C) All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk and the owners or any person connected with the management of the sale or sale facility assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents which may occur.
