“Born This Gay” An Interactive Presentation Tuesday, October 4

Windmeyer, M.S.Ed., is a leading author on gay campus issues, national leader in gay and lesbian civil rights, and a champion for LGBTQ issues on college campuses. Sisterhood, brotherhood, lifetime friendships … these are values of Greek life, but what if a member happens to be gay? This interactive, fun and thoughtprovoking presentation explores some of the myths about being gay, and allows for a greater understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression among all college students. Participants will leave challenged to support their LGBT fraternity/sorority members and will be motivated to build coalitions for change within Greek life.
Beginning in the early 1990s, college campuses and local communities began wearing a common piece of clothing in support of National Coming Out Day. Stop by the Mack Student Center Atrium Table for more resources, and wear jeans to show support to the LGBTQ community!
