Zarb School of Business provides students with both practical knowledge of their chosen field and a broader perspective of the global business environment. Our distinguished faculty include both academic experts and business leaders who have dedicated themselves to helping prepare tomorrow’s business professionals. They can help you connect with future employers, find real-world mentors and explore the myriad internship opportunities that abound in the Long Island/New York City metropolitan area. Whether you focus on management, marketing, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, information technology, or any other business field, the Zarb School is committed to fostering an environment that values diversity, encourages personal and professional growth, and cultivates greater awareness of issues of ethics and social responsibility. For more information, visit hofstra.edu/business.
Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the academic heart of Hofstra University and the oldest school at Hofstra. We believe that the liberal arts — the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences — are the foundation for all higher education. Our main objective is to help students gain an understanding of how people have attempted throughout history to render the breadth of human experience intelligible. Working with our highly respected faculty and with one another in an atmosphere of freedom and tolerance, you will develop critical thinking skills and learn to access and analyze information and ideas in a technologically sophisticated world.

The curriculum is designed to provide a wide-ranging and multidisciplinary intellectual experience while fostering a sense of community and identity among the cohort of students who share the HUHC experience. High-achieving applicants are invited to participate. SAT scores for the middle 50 percent of the fall 2011 Honors College class range from 1270 to 1370. HUHC also serves transfer students who perform at the highest academic levels in any undergraduate program or major. Transfer students who have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher are invited to join HUHC upon admission. Students who have earned honors credits at a previous institution may apply them toward completion of the Honors College Recognition designation. For more information, visit hofstra.edu/honors.
At Hofstra University’s School of Communication, you will receive a broad-based liberal arts education with real-world applications, close to the heart of the media world – New York City.
