Mr. Alam, a queer-identified Muslim activist of Pakistani decent, is founder and former director of Al-Fatiha Foundation, an organization for LGBTQ Muslims. “Born This Gay” An Interactive Presentation Tuesday, October 4

7 p.m. Student Center Theater, Mack Student Center, North Campus Shane L. Windmeyer, M.S.Ed., is a leading author on gay campus issues, national leader in gay and lesbian civil rights, and a champion for LGBTQ issues on college campuses. Sisterhood, brotherhood, lifetime friendships … these are values of Greek life, but what if a member happens to be gay? This interactive, fun and thoughtprovoking presentation explores some of the myths about being gay, and allows for a greater understanding of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression among all college students. Participants will leave challenged to support their LGBT fraternity/sorority members and will be motivated to build coalitions for change within Greek life.
