The main factor influencing the design approach is the magnificent location of the site. Situated at the crest of The Peak, the site offers a panoramic view to the north, from Central to Wanchai, and across the harbour to Tsimshatsui. The views to the south are equally appealing, down over rolling hills to the south coast of Hong Kong Island and Aberdeen. Taking these principals, the five town houses are arrayed in a fan shaped pattern blossoming from south to north. This geometry maximizes the perimeter of the units and therefore the number of rooms overlooking Central and Wanchai to the north. Size: 2,000 m2 Services: Architecture / Interiors Completion: 2004

Sitting on the southern tip of Macau, the Bel Lago consists of two 175-meter-tall, high-end luxury residential towers with spectacular views over Macau and the South China Sea. The interiors palette of rich tones and textures and the use of state-of-the-art fixtures exemplify the project’s contemporary design. Bel Lago residences can indulge in the fully-equipped clubhouse which consists of a large multi-function room, a cigar room, lounge, library, a full-function kitchen and show kitchen for entertainment. Daniels Limelight Condominiums Ontario, Canada
The interior spaces of Limelight Condominiums are designed to harmonize Daniels’ sustainable initiatives and brand positioning for the Limelight development, while introducing a new design approach to Mississauga. Natural materials, such as stone and reclaimed wood, are used throughout the space in tandem with modern details and impactful colour, connecting the interior to the green space located around the building. Amenity levels have been carefully planned to enhance the sense of neighbourhood within the building, including a party room that leads to an expansive outdoor terrace, home theatre, media lounge, and a cardio centre that connects directly to a two-storey full court gym.

HOK is working with Bolsover Street Limited (BSL) – a joint venture between Ridgeford Properties and Manhattan Loft Corporation – on this £40 million mixed-use development in Bolsover Street, London. The HOK scheme provides a 2,000 sq m medical building boasting a state-of-the-art out-patients facility that the RNOH will occupy. The development, which came with a design brief that called for a scheme that ‘enhanced and responded to the townscape’, includes 70 high-quality private apartments, 30 affordable apartments and 300 sq m of office space. HOK was commissioned by Huafa, a major developer in Zhuhai to provide architecture and interior design services for a luxurious clubhouse to entertain VIPs and guests. The clubhouse design fuses Chinese and Thai influences, taking advantage of breathtaking views from a hilltop site in Zhuhai. Here, a presidential duplex, dining areas, and other suites are designed as stylistic variations of the overall theme. Below, a cigar and wine Bar, wine cellar, karaoke and teahouse enjoy views of a sunken garden courtyard.

The 36-storey hotel rises above the vibrant Canary Wharf district in London. This stylish hotel has adopted the use of shading on the facade to enhance environmental performance. The interiors were designed to evoke a sense of timeless modern design to integrate with the architecture for a seamless cohesive experience.

A luxury show-apartment for a premiere residential development, St. George Apartments, raises the bar for luxury and convenience. Unique, fashionable and meticulously designed, this penthouse suite is the epitome of contemporary style. Located adjacent to Qatar’s largest shopping mall, this five-plus-star hotel looks directly over the Gulf. Guest rooms are generously sized at 172 square feet. VIP apartments have two to four bedrooms. At the top of the 43-storey hotel is the 150-seat Xian Restaurant, themed on China’s Terracotta Army, with a dramatic view of the Gulf. Other restaurants include an Argentinian-themed steak house and Lobby bar. The hotel also includes a ballroom, meeting facilities and Shangri La’s own branded Chi Spa.
